singhprakash72
Numbers and avg apart his batting vs Aus in 2nd innings of 1st test was exceptional and has potential to be a great batsman for Pakistan...just don't go overboard ( for Pak media & folks) and let me him prove his consistency around the world. Real McCoy
He looks good at the crease. He looks like a proper batsman well organized and playing his shots on the ground. What impresses me the most is that in sena countries where the ball swings, he has the ability to play the cover drive and off drive for over pitched deliveries which release pressure off of him whenever the bowler makes the mistake of pitching it in his half. He is also patient unlike other Pakistani batsmen to wait for the bad deliver or a tuk tuk like Misbah playing a dot which should be put away. You can expect him to break pakistani test match batting records Link to comment
Zero_Unit
I've been following his batting for a while. Soon to be labeled with the fab 4 (fab 5 - not like root is doing anything productive these days anyways). Not to mention, he is young. Link to comment
Autonomous
4th Test Ton for Babar Azam. Average up by 3 points to 42.6, only a matter of time till it reaches 50 mark. Austin 3:!6 1 Link to comment

Sandeep99
Looks like a proper player. Never seen a Pakistani batsman like him. Very correct technique and classy shots. But if he's made the captain, which he will be very soon, he will lose his way. Link to comment
cric_fan
He isn't 25 that's for sure, will see what his real age is after he retires. Though he will most likely top their run & avg charts in the near future. Must be atleast 27 if not 28.Yea and all Indians look their age. If it makes you feel better..continue adding extra two yrs on Pak cricketers. Link to comment
FischerTal
for subcontinental batsmen, England and South Africa prove to be the biggest challenge due to swing/seam factor. Ill reserve my judgement on him till he does well in these countries, but so far he does look to be the best Pakistani batsman since the retirement of Saeed Anwar and Inzamam. First class
Way too early to talk about ATG, let him perform consistently for next 4-5 years , in all countries, with 25 centuries and average of > 50, only then ATG discussion can be started. Yes, he is on his way to be one of the Pakistan great. Link to comment

In India people are tracked from their school as we also have school cricket. All these guys go to proper school where you have to produce birth certificate. Link to comment
kirkutfan
He has the potential to be great. He should benefit from Pakistan finally being able to host matches at home. So you definitely have something to look forward to. Link to comment
vvvslaxman
He works hard towards his game. So he will be rewarded. Any player who works hard gets rewarded. Smith does, Kohli does, Tendulkar did. Dravid did. But he may not get to play many matches as his team is at the bottom of the pile. Not many teams will play 3 match series against them. Most Indian fans enjoy watching him too because he is a good one. Link to comment

Austin 3:!6
Politics aside, I would love to see Babar Azam playing a test match against our bowlers with Shami/Bumrah etc in peak. That will be his real test but it wont gonna happen. Stan AF 1 Link to comment
