No. He's not a wicket-taker in LOIs and his batting in death overs is useless most of the time. It's the reason why we even went to Kuldeep and Chahal in the first place after Champions Trophy 2017.

We went with Kulcha but that doesn’t mean they have to play every match together that too when Pandya is not in the team.

Much rather play 6 batters 1 jadeja and 4 frontline bowlers. Likes of kuldeep maybe need to spent little bit more time with the bat. 

 

Once pandya comes back then its good where he can slot in at 7

 

 

As it is our biggest strength is the top order. May as well bolster the bowling.

Shivam Dubey's bowling upside is that of a Colin Grandhomme. And even that is years away.

He is more of Batting all rounder rather than a bowling all rounder.

 

He should have batted at 7 rather than 8.

 

Need to give more chances.

One of Kulcha should only have been dropped to accommodate an extra pacer, not Jadeja who offers nothing to the team except his fielding.

He is not the only but one of the most viable one.

If his batting comes off he n hardik wud make this batting line super powerful.

Jadeja wud also be in the mix but if used smartly. Its not that jadeja is something gr8

How do you know how good or how bad Dube is as an ODI batsman ?

Whats with the Dube hate? Guy has just entered international cricket - showed decent promise with bat. Bowling will get better as he goes along - 125-130 k pace is what most 6th bowlers in world bowl -  De Grandhomme, Shane Lee, Cronje etc. Sheesh...people here want Kapil Devs to drop from the sky.

Coz ppl here have no patience with youngsters. Sabko pakke pakkaye chanpion chahiye. Thats why i say bring anyone n in 5 gamed ull see a thread against him. 

They are to bsy with giving ppl name like bots n pieces crap ...but terms dont matters its the role of the player in team.

125K is not the only issue. He barely gets any movement. Even in India if you bowl 125K with no lateral movement you get whacked.

 

In Australia, he will get slaughtered. He has to prove himself with the bat if he wants to make it in the XI

No you are wrong this team needs bowler who can bat not batsman who can bowl.Jadeja is your fourth bowler and is expected to bowl 10 over every match.His bat is not needed in 8 out 10 matches.But bowling is needed every match he plays for this team.

He won't prove himself with bat as he is not good enough with bat to be top order batsman.He is a classic bits and pieces player. Jadhav is far better batsman than Dubey.
