shortbread
Strangely scheduled by BCCI, getting the limited overs A team to tour New Zealand along with the seniors. If one thing yesterday's humiliation proved is that the team needs fresh blood especially in the middle order. Having them tour earlier would have been a good opportunity to take a good look at A team performances and find possible replacements. When there were openers ie Panchal,Eshwaran, performing for A team, they made Rohit the openers for the test. Siraj had a great performance with the A team taking wickets against every opposition, but still he is bowling in the Ranji Trophy, and Shardul and Chahar are bowling for the national team. ShoonyaSifar
Our A team will do well, as they have in all A tours in recent years. I can't remeber a List A series A team hasn't won. The problem is the whole stinking culture the captain and coach have created in the National team. Youngsters get no backing while captain runs the team as per his whims picking his friends and backing his chamchas sandsaims, Sandeep99, Cricwala and 1 other 4 Link to comment

The middle order especially needs fresh blood, any opposition that can remove the Indian top order cheaply is guaranteed to win the game. Link to comment

Thats okay. Let him pick wickets and add more muscle. Who knows he could comeback as a much improved bowler. raki05 1 Link to comment
Cricwala
R chahar bowled 1 over, picked a wicket and didn't bowl again? SKY making a strong case for LOI middle order, if only he cld bowl 3 of the wicket taking balls by khaleel were good, pace also seems to be decent. Got most coming round the wicket, something he shld do more. Krunal again showing he has moxy - if India wants a spin bowling all rounder in LOIs, i wld pick him over jadeja. Why is Gill captaining with more mature heads like Mayank, SKY, Krunal in team? I hope selectors arent making same mistake as they did with Kohli of grooming best batsman as captain.
