Situation is getting bad in padosi land. Almost thrice the number of cases than us. Grudges aside, we should wish they get better for the sake of humanity.

On a side note, does anyone know if the Kartarpur corridor is open or shut ?

We shut it 3-4 days ago.

Where is Taftan located?  Balochistan.  Which organization calls all the shots in that province? PakMil.  Why blame the puppet, while letting the real party responsible, off the hook?

Yes Imran is arguably incompetent, unqualified.  But at the end of the day, he's a puppet.  Blaming him is almost giving him too much credit.

Sadly, you are right.

If India manages to weather this storm successfully, I hope GOI do their bit in supporting the people of Pakistan in this hour of crisis whether be it in the form of line of credit or sending a team of medical professionals.

As a responsible country in the region, it's our duty to help our neighbors setting aside old differences.

We can be the bigger people and help our neighbours in their time of need but when all this is over we know what 'help' we will be getting from over the border...

Man how stupid one can be.

Is it to not anger the mullahs ?

Lol we had Jumma congregation in a nearby mosque. Forget Pakistan, why can't we do things right in India? Sure some may take precautions but a few idiots can spoil all the good work.

Don't know whether to laugh or to feel sad about this. What even is the rationale behind this ?

Taliban are fighting their way back to power - they are ISI's 'boys.  PakMil has to maintain 'relations' with them.  If it means a few thousand Pakistanis die, well that hasn't stopped them in the past has it.

Edit:  To add, also keep in mind, that the Pakhtuns in those borderlands have historically gone back and forth across that border all the time.  Its a very open/soft border in that sense.  If its suddenly shut down completely, that would mean a lot of Pakhtuns on the Pakistan side will have family members cut off on the Afghan side.  In life or death crisis times, this could translate to armed uprising by the local Pukhtuns.  PakMil cannot risk that either, with the PTM already mobilizing those people against the Pakistani state.  They simply cannot risk lighting a match to that Pakhtun challenge - it could easily lead to another Bangladesh.

These are dangerous times for Pakistanis.  No joke.

And how good is the theory of young population?

Reasonably good.  The numbers are quite definitive.  Overwhelming majority of deaths are those of old people, especially ones with weak lungs and immune systems due to "co-morbidities" i.e. other serious illnesses.

Randomly some young people ARE getting very sick, some dying, but they are not common.  95% of young people - below 35 - are either not getting sick, getting mildly sick and recovering, or getting serious pneumonia and recovering.

So the odds are definitely much better for young people not to get too sick.

But you need to understand - young people can and are getting infected just as easily as the vulnerable - and they are the ones who are spreading it everywhere since they are moving around.  Also, the problem with this is that so many old and vulnerable ppl will get sick that hospitals will get flooded and overloaded.  And so the healthcare system will collapse, and 'normal' sicknesses will get difficult to treat.  Domino effect from there, and all kinds of chaos.
