Sean Bradley
Really hate this, especially the hooligans that the Mumbai cops are with Notorious reputation, they are the ones to set the precedent by uploading such videos on Social media. But having said that, some people are real laatho ke bhoot, and they leave no choice to the police. But its also the moral responsibility of police to identify people and only then use force. Gollum
When illegal Bangladeshis were burning trains, raping women, setting bridges/houses/shops/schools on fire during first phase of anti-CAA protests last year these policemen were nowhere to be seen, couldn't make a single arrest of the jihadis. Now look at them, despicable creatures. Always said this, Bengal police is the most cowardly of its kind in India, mainly because of prevailing culture and the state's politics at play. Zero_Unit
These guys are there to save life or take life? Nonsense. Also a lock-down in IND means no one can't go buy grocery either?

BC India/Indians ki ye khasiayat hai ki sala sara frustration kamjor k upar hi nikalta hai...Ein police walo ki g@nd me g** nahi tha when these jehadis were running riots in WB few months back. Even during riots marta wahi hai jo kamjor or lachar hai.
FischerTal
there are two sides of this story. yes many policemen are beating up civilians but you also have to acknowledge the good work being done by police. dont paint everyone with same brush. velu
I endorse beating to implement social distancing .. but I seriously hope our police will do a check whether person is really going to buy the milk or groceries before beating them Edited March 26, 2020 by velu FischerTal

zen
Don’t have milk let’s go out. Oh forgot vegetables, let’s go out. Oh, need this too, let’s go out .... there is always a reason to go out and not follow/care for the law .... Ppl should plan for what is required and get the items when a slot opens up .... Strict enforcement of laws is required, along with allowances for emergencies (though going out to get milk is trivial) .... but beating is unwarranted
coffee_rules
This is deliberate from Bengal police, Modi ko badnaam karne ke liye. Elections there soo and Meemta will do anything to show centre down. Nobody should be beaten for getting Milk.

States apparatus should work on supply chain, everything can't be blamed on Modi, har ghar jaake deliver karne ki expect karte hain Modi ko. Gollum
Need police reforms ASAP, should be a priority for all govts. At the moment the vardi is being salvaged by some extraordinary men and women, but we need a proper functioning system rather than depending on a handful. Don't think this is deliberate from the police, there is a lacuna in their training, probably overeager to make this lockdown a success, need more common sense, sensitivity and a healing touch in these difficult times. Saw many videos of police excesses yesterday, many of them from Punjab. Edited March 26, 2020 by Gollum

In US and in India, I used to clean toilets in my house. No wonder India has such issues with class and caste.
