IS terrorist involved in attack on Sikhs in Kabul was Kerala shopkeeper (IANS EXCLUSIVE)

Quote

New Delhi, March 27 (IANS) One of the four terrorists involved in the terror attack on Sikhs in Kabul was a 30-year-old shopkeeper who had fled along with 14 other youths from Kerala to join the Islamic State (ISIS) four years ago.

The Islamic State on Friday published a photo of Abu Khalid al-Hindi, a suicide attack fighter who was part of the four-member team that attacked a Sikh shrine in Kabul, killing at least 25 members of the minuscule minority community in Afghanistan on Wednesday.

Top sources said that al-Hindi was Mohammed Sajid Kuthirulmmal, a shopkeeper from Padne area of Kasargod in Kerala who was wanted in a 2016 NIA case and had an Interpol red notice against him.

The case refers to a parent from Kasaragod, Kerala who lodged a police complaint in July 2016, stating that his 30-year-old son Abdul Rashid was missing along with his wife Ayisha (Sonia Sebastian) and child, for almost two months after they had gone to Mumbai.

Around the same time, 14 other cases of missing people including Sajid were registered by their parents and relatives in the police station of the same area. Preliminary investigation revealed that the missing persons had left India to join Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), a banned pan-Islamist terrorist organisation.

During the investigation by Kerala Police, the role of 29-year-old Yasmeen Mohammad Zahid, a resident of Batla House, Okhla Jamia Nagar, New Delhi but originally from Sitamarhi district of Bihar, as a co-conspirator of Abdul Rashid was revealed. She was arrested on August 1, 2016, after she was intercepted at Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi while attempting to exit India for Afghanistan, along with her child.

As per the Kerala police, Yasmeen Mohammad Zahid was actively aiding Abdul Rashid in his activities including raising funds to support ISIS. The case was handed over to the NIA after she was arrested.

The NIA investigation revealed that Abdul Rashid, Yasmeen and others from 2015 were involved in activities to further objectives of the ISIS in Kerala and other places of India. 15 people including Sajid had fled from Kerala, India to join the terror group in Nangarhar province in Afghanistan.

Though the NIA did not file a charge sheet against Sajid, but he was listed as an accused and absconder in the case.

Though the NATO and Afghan forces claim to have killed most ISIS members in Nangarhar, sources believe many may have escaped. Sources said Sajid clearly was one of those who escaped unscathed from Nangarhar.

The mobile communication between the absconders with their relatives, over internet-based social media platforms, recovered during the investigation, established that Sajid was staying at the same place as another ISIS recruit who had fled from Kerala and had joined the terror group along with Abdul Rashid.

One of several Malayalis who fled to Afg to join IS, reports say he was a shopkeeper from Kasargod who was also accused in the Valapattanam (Kannur) case....PFI/SDPI, liberals and human rights warriors rushed to the defence of those cockroaches blaming NIA and GOI. That group also had links with the Sri Lankan jihadis who blew up churches and other public places in last year's Easter bombings.

A man from Kerala going to Afg and killing innocent Sikhs citing Kashmir as a reason, try to wrap your head around that. Most literate state my ass, more like epicentre of radical extremism in India.

Jesus that's just...

South India is a tinderbox. The flight of youth to IS/AQ, targeted killings of Hindu activists/students/businessmen/leaders, terror training camps, last year's Easter bombings....ominous signs for India.

Kerala may have a burgeoning extremism problem.  That crazy lady who went "viral" with the video of cops beating the protestors - Ladeeda whatever, saw her interview where she was proudly proclaiming how she is not afraid of anything - you can see on her face and her eyes how she is totally indoctrinated and brainwashed.  Scary.  These are the types of folks who readily become suicide bombers.  Her and this "al hindi" dude are the symptoms - the indoctrination and extremism is the enemy.  Kerala and its muslims need to get pro-active to combat it.

Fascist modi has started imposing hindi on even terrorists now

Some Malayalis might have a problem with the title 'al-Hindi' than the fact that one of their own committed a terror attack in a foreign country. Dead serious.

Such a shame for our country, at the end of the day it is an Indian citizen taking innocent Afghan lives. Malayalis should grow a spine and introspect, the communists must pay heed to their stalwart Achuthanandan who warned them of this a long time back. PFI/SDPI is SIMI reborn, when they are systematically trapping non-Muslim girls and converting them it isn't just Hindutva fear-mongering, even the church has started speaking against this now (Syro-Malabar Church says ‘love jihad’ a threat in Kerala). Many of these terrorists are recently converted ones, linked with PFI, so no need to celebrate Hadiya like our libbus did !!!! When a Christian prof has his hand chopped off for naming Muhammad in a question paper (trivial BS, would a question like Krishna has 6 apples, Mary has 4 oranges, how many fruits yada yada result in similar response by other communities?), it isn't a CIA/RAW/Modi/BCCI conspiracy, **** is real. Gulf effect-> rise of Wahhabism connects Southern states esp Kerala...national headache now.

Kabul gurdwara attacker was active member of PFI: Kerala police

Quote

Kabul gurdwara attacker Mohammed Muhsin, 29, was an active member of the radical Islamic outfit Popular Front of India (PFI) and left for Dubai after being accused in a case of pelting stones at a local temple, Kerala police told India Today.

Muhsin’s family, who live in Payyannur in Kannur district of Kerala, were contacted by police and informed of his role in the Gurdwara Har Rai Sahib attack on Wednesday.

Twenty five worshippers belonging to Afghanistan’s minority Sikh community were killed when three Islamic State (IS) terrorists including Muhsin attacked the gurdwara. All three attackers were killed after a six-hour gunbattle with security forces.

Police identified Muhsin from a photograph and video put out by IS on Friday identifying the attacker as Abu Khalid al-Hindi’. The identities of the two other attackers were not disclosed.

We are in utter shock. We didn’t know where he was for the last two years. We knew he joined ISIS only police informed us yesterday. His mother has not eaten since yesterday and his father is also so depressed, Muhsin's brother-in-law Mohammed Mashood told India Today.

A senior state police official said that Muhsin was a Class 9 dropout (not an engineering student as stated earlier) and an active member of Popular Front of India (PFI).

He was an introvert and deeply religious and his path to radicalisation began after he joined the Islamic fundamentalist group. He was involved in several police cases including one of throwing stones at a local temple for which he was charged with triggering communal disharmony in the area in 2018.

The exact details of what transpired are not known, but it was after this incident that Muhsin left for Dubai from where he possibly migrated to the IS camps in eastern Afghanistan.

His father Abdullah Njangarath earlier worked in Malaysia and now runs a furniture business. The family are natives of Thrikkaripur in Kasaragod, the state’s northern-most district. They lived in Muhsin’s maternal home in Vadakkekovil village under Chandera police station in Kasaragod district.

Last year, his father Abdulla shifted to Karamil village, near Payyannur in Kannur district. Abdullah and his wife Mymoona have four children including Muhsin. Muhsin’s younger brother who was working in Malaysia returned home recently.

Wow, so shocked....
