the land of Bulgars .... I am not sure if the word Burglar was inspired by them :hmmmm2:

burglar is a compound word from burg (city) and larceny (theft).

It has nothing to do with Bulgaria.

A more interesting question would be does the Italian luxury brand Bvlgari have anything to do with the word 'Bulgaria'?

All the names of different places in Mumbai sound full tapori like. Kalyan, andheri, jogesgwari, dombivali, colaba, bhayandar.... I mean wtf is bhayandar?

Not to mention:

Santa Cruz- Random Spanish sounding name.

Khar- In Pashto it means donkey, or so my grandfather used to say.

Wadala- Sounds like an order at an Udipi restaurant.

Chunabhatti: Lime furnace?

Pune has an outlying suburb called Pimple Saudagar. :cantstop:

European names can be crazy.

See the names of all those Welsh towns with repeating consonants: Llanfair, Crrymmbgyyllmb etc

Its as if certain keys on the keyboard were stuck.
