Cabin Fever -

Cabin fever refers to the distressing claustrophobic irritability or restlessness experienced when a person, or group, is stuck at an isolated location or in confined quarters for an extended period of time. A person may be referred to as stir-crazy, derived from the use of stir to mean 'prison'.

Cringy!

He should learn from Warner and family who have been keeping his fans happy with fun videos.

Here's my 'gossipy pinkvilla-type' theory on virat kohli.

His child-like enthusiasm for the game and his 'aggression' was endearing...up until a certain age. Now, at the age of 31, he just looks childish.

While it doesn't affect his game, it definitely affected his brand value, and he's no longer getting those big money endorsement deals. Luxury brands in particular, still view him as a 'youth icon', and refuse to associate him with anything that isn't sport related. He doesn't get the big endorsement deals that tendulkar or even dhoni did. He's only 'attractive' to a younger demographic (teens and early 20s).

In an effort to change his image and get more endorsement deals, he now markets himself as a 'husband' and publicizes his relationship with anushka. While i believe that their relationship is genuine, the publicity that both of them seek is extremely unusual. It seems like a desperate attempt to 'evolve' out of the youth icon image.

Anushka is also growing out of acting, she's hit that dread 'age 30' mark. It makes sense for both sides to grow their brand as a 'couple', because they wouldn't be worth as much if they were 'separate'.

Good analysis! To add to the above, Sachin and Dhoni are well respected by younger players in the team and even opponents for their cricketing wisdom. They have a transcendental appeal which Kohli lacks. Kohli is well respected as a player, but once the runs dry up, his value will decline rapidly as he has neither the Bhagwan status of Sachin nor the cool factor of Dhoni. Anushka seems like the smarter one and is probably working with a PR consultant to boost up their brand value.

I noticed that sachin is still getting luxury brand deals like Audemars Piquet, BMW (promoting their higher end cars in india), along with other 'family friendly' brands almost 7 years after he retired. He's got such a strong image, and he appeals to people across demographics - probably the only true 'national-level' pan-indian icon. He's bigger than bollywood stars, he's truly in a league of his own.

Dhoni has managed himself well, he landed a luxury watch brand in panerai, and still gets plenty of family friendly endorsements. He won't be as strong a brand as tendulkar, but as captain of Chennai super kings, he's popular all across the country.

When it comes to kohli, the alarm went off when adidas or nike refused to give him a contract. I found that so strange...this is the best cricketer in the world (arguably), and the biggest sports brands don't even want him? He eventually signed with Puma. Compare this with the way adidas kept tendulkar for so many years. Even 'Boost' held tendulkar for 24 years. Image makes a huge difference!!

Kohli - at the peak of his career - was selling cheap Tissot watches. The only luxury brand he promotes is audi, and they only use him to show off their 'sports cars'. Beyond this, what does he really have? He'll never be a national icon, and he is too 'north indian' or 'punjabi' to have a fanbase across the country.

When kohli retires, i don't think we'll see the out-pouring of emotion as we did with tendulkar. Not even close.

Virat is different from Sachin and Dhoni. I think it is a good thing that he is being himself and not being bound by traditional expectations of how one should be at a particular age. Sachin was “old” or mature in temperament even when he was chronologically young. Virat is still a bit of a kid at 32. Neither of them did anything wrong. As far as emotions at retirement go, Sachin will be tough to beat because his career spanned an entire generation and so much changed during that period. As far as endorsements go, both will have plenty for not only themselves, but their kids, kids’ kids and on and on. Neither will starve. So, Virat Kohli is doing just fine working hard at his craft, striving to be the best, and setting an example for work ethic for his team mates. Besides, great as Sachin was, the last thing we want is for Kohli to try to become a Sachin clone.

32 years old, and promoting clothes and outfits that only a teenager would wear.

32 year old youth icon. Is 32 considered young nowadays?

Directly peddling shoes with a link in his bio! What next, 10 lucky winners to be visited at their homes by Kohli to try on the shoes? Maybe other players are also doing the same.  This seems a bit too much, to make the player salesmen.
