Mumbai: Rahul Dravid and Greg Chappell?s mantra of success for the ICC World Cup 2007 is: Don?t take anyone lightly. The skipper and coach had a media briefing ahead of Team India?s departure to the Caribbean on February 28. Said Dravid, ?Nobody can be taken lightly in today?s game. One-day cricket is all about having that one good or bad day. Kenya surprised everyone by reaching the semi-finals of the ICC CWC in 2003.? Talking about India?s balance, Chappell said, ?We are looking forward to a tournament which promises to be very competitive. Things will really hot up during the Super 8 stage. We have had two very good series wins over the West Indies and Sri Lanka and we are confident.? The former Australian skipper added, ?Our one-day position is good and we have variety and experience in our ranks. We have players who have a proved track record.? The Indian coach, however, agreed that fielding remains ?a bit of a concern.? He said, ?We hope to get that department right before the tournament starts off.? When Dravid was asked whether this would be his last ICC Cricket World Cup, he said, ?It all depends. For this tournament, I feel very positive and we have a target that we are hoping to achieve as a team. This is my third ICC Cricket World Cup and I am ready for the challenges.? Talking about the bowling department, the Indian skipper said: ?We have wicket-takers like Munaf Patel, S Sreesanth and our two highly experienced spinners in Anil Kumble and Harbhajan Singh. Irfan Pathan is a proven performer and will be a key member of this team.? Chappell said the team is leaving India with an open mind. ?We will decide who will open the batting or bowling after having a look at the opposition,? he said. He said New Zealand and England are looking in fine form while Dravid said one simply cannot count champion performers like the Australians out of the equation. ?Australia have had a few bad games but they were missing their key players. They are the defending champions and they will come hard at the opposition,? he said

Oh indeed! So skipper doesn't even mention Zaheer Khan, the only seamer to have played in a WC? Or even Agarkar? This tells you how much seriously you should take this article!

Re: We can?t afford to take anyone lightly: Dravid he did mentioned abt them

Dravid had praise for his group of fast bowlers and believed they could do the job required of them in the West Indies. "Munaf has come out of his injury has probably been our most effective ODI bowler in the last 15 games. Sree is a young, exciting and wicket-taking bowler. The more opportunities he gets, the better he gets," he said. "Zaheer and Ajit have been bowling well. Irfan gives us an option of an allrounder and he needs a bit more bowling before the World Cup. I am pretty happy with the pace bowling options we have. Some of the minor niggles will be sorted out by the time we play our first game against Bangladesh."
