Predator_05
I couldn't watch a ball of this match, but how the hell did they lose that ? With 22 needed off the last 2 overs, it should have been a done deal.

Predator_05
haha ur captain lost his brain..thats how they lost and v kept our cool.. Makes sense (the first part of the sentence, not the second). You need to f uck up spectacularly to lose from that kind of position. Shoaib Malik has been a waste of space so far, he better start scoring some runs and chipping in with a wicket or two otherwise he can f uck off to Katwastan. [b']With 22 needed off the last 2 overs, it should have been a done deal. 22 off 12 balls is the batting team's game. Look at this IPL...16-20 runs have been scored often enough in the last over. Its next to impossible to protect the boundaries...edges fly off to thirdman...to fineleg...and shots over midwicket, bowlers head etc...5 fielders on the boundary is almost nothing when a batting team, even with 2-3 wkts are chasing 16+...surely there would be 2 boundaries in the first 3-4 balls...and even in today's game, the asking rate never got away from CSK...they needed 46 off 5, 40 off 4, 33 off 3, 22 off 2..so they were always within range. There was just a brief stutter with 2 wkts off 2 balls in the 19th over, but even then 22 off 10 balls is never gonna challenge a team unless last pair is at the wkt. Thats what happened , and the irregular spinner went for 10 off his first 2 balls, game sealed. 3 off 3 balls, 2 off 2 balls and 1 off last ball....CSK were doing it very normally. And Won. arkay
With 22 needed off the last 2 overs, it should have been a done deal. 22 off the 2 overs is achievable when you consider that one of the over was going to be bowled by non-regular bowler. Ghoni had belted a couple of sixes in earlier matches. So it was not something that was not doable. Sehwag was short of one bowler. They should have had Rajat Bhatia instead of bringing in Manoj Tiwari. That tilted the team balance. The absence of 5th bowler certainly proved costly. umpire
Dhoni had a role to play an anchor man and guys like Raina, Morkel can play attacking game. It worked for them. They were missing anchor man. Dhoni has great presence about the game. He knew McGrath and Asif will be bowled out, Yo Mahesh and one other bowler will ball last 2 overs. He had decided to attack Yo Mahesh, unfortunately, he was able to find elevation he was looking for.
