Yuvraj4Captaincy
Why is Sachin's presence discussed more than the real reasons for Mumbais victory? And its not liek his presence suddenly made Mumbai win. Mumbai was getting on a winning spree before he made his comeback. But last match his captaincy was good to allow pollock to bowl his 4 overs upfront. Jaysuriya is looking dangerous and if Sachin finds form too then they could be the team that go all the way.
Rajiv
no one is taking away the priv man, but the little masters presence has made things sparkle, that's all

Not to mention the fact that Nayar, Pollock and Uthappa can bat well The big problem for Mumbai is they'll be losing Bravo --- huuuuge loss
Yuvraj4Captaincy
no one is taking away the priv man' date=' but the little masters presence has made things sparkle, that's all[/quote'] Well, it certainly helps having the all time great back in the team. But I think Pollock and Sanaths deserves more applaud and Presence's dont win games. You gotta get out there and score runs and get wickets and if his presence was that great. India should have won 4 worldcups by now.
Guest HariSampath
Its all a question of philosophy here. Some people think that all success is due to human effort while others believe it is all due to God's grace( ICF god).....so all philosophies are to be respected :giggle:

DomainK
Sanath and Pollock deserve credit. Whats the point of this thread?
Gambit
Threads on Polly and Suriya to credit them have been created. I don't think any thread on Tendulkar as inspiration for these wins has been created so far.
Guest HariSampath
^...that is because the sachin-is-god theme doesnt need any specific thread...all threads are "God's threads"...and he is present everywhere ;-)

There were no threads created to laud Sachin's presence having an influence, while both Sanath and Pollock did have threads of their own. The posts you refer to were specific replies to threads and posts made to demean Sachin. Questions like Why did god get out on a duck, what contribution did Sachin give, deserve the exact replies they have got. Dont go around twisting replies and generalise them as credit being taken from those two guys and given to Sachin.
Zakhmi
surely, Pollock and J'Suriya have done for a big difference in the performances of MI! Hail to them! :congrats:
Ram
Surely, the apparent 'haters' need to grow up. The term 'God' used to describe Sachin is just a figure of speech. No one probably *actually* thinks Sachin is their deity. Without understanding that, to keep harping on a single term that is loosely bandied about is just downright stupid to be honest. However, Sachin is the personal role-model/idol to many Indian cricket fans. Many of us have grown up watching his batting and his impact on the Indian psyche goes just beyond cricket. He is India's pride in every sense and his impeccable behavior and social profile, despite the mass adulation he receives, makes him an object great admiration. So naturally, many of us are just happy seeing him out there, let alone him scoring runs. We will continue to glorify him, irrespective of what others feel about it. Sachin's presence or pollock, sanath and the boys actually performing?
