kabira
well nothing is lost really...doesnt matter how we perform in ODI series..WC will be totally different experience... It will be slowest track...this is best place to make comeback..more like indian subcontinent pitch. I think we need to unleash Dhoni early. I will open with him. We need to attack right from the word go...only hope is either of Sehwag and Dhoni click.. Sehwag Dhoni Mongia Sachin Karthik Raina Pathan SS Zaheer Bhajji Kumble thats our only hope, one of Dhoni or Sehwag strike...and take the game away from SA where even our d.ickhead bowlers cant mess it up.. gator
Re: Port Elizabeth: what to do? Kabs.... same mistake of playing Raina at 7...... tht kid will waste the last 10 overs.... instead i would play Jaffa one last time in the opening slot... and hence KKD will bat one slot lower.... but atleast u know there is a chance he can go berserk in the last 10... bowling part looks good, except i dont know if munaf is fit... wouldnt wanna risk him for the ODIs... kabira
Re: Port Elizabeth: what to do? >Kabs.... same mistake of playing Raina at 7...... tht kid will waste the last 10 overs well someone has to play at 7.. if Munaf is not fit...than Agarkar will play.. Link to comment
kabira
Re: Port Elizabeth: what to do? Raina is there to fill up our 11..he cant be worse than Kaif. I am banking on Sehwag or Dhoni to click big time..and thats my only hope..Once they provide great start, Sachin, Karthik and Mongia can take it from there. Link to comment

King Tendulkar
Re: Port Elizabeth: what to do? You picked Pathan :wall: :wall: why does no one understsand he can't bowl straight. You picked raina? Looked like a rabbit staring in to the headlights last time at crease. You have put the greatest opener in odi history as not opening? Link to comment
kabira
Re: Port Elizabeth: what to do? >Aggy is officially dropped for the rest of the tour why?? yes VRV is there.. if KKD is at 7..who will be at 6...Raina?? Link to comment

How do you drop aggy who has bowled well in last 6 months and reatin Pathan who has been appaling for last 6 months? Link to comment
kabira
Re: Port Elizabeth: what to do? >if JAffer opens, everyone will move one slot down nah, no Jaffer...he is not a long term solution.... Let go with Dhoni and Sehwag...attack them from word go...thats only chance... Link to comment
gator
Re: Port Elizabeth: what to do? frankly i dont care, which one of em plays... both are equally tothless on current form... i would rather try out VRV who has been in really good form recently.. he has good height, pace and bounce and on these pitches he would be the quickest from bothg sides... obviously the line and length shyte aint working for us.. kabira
Re: Port Elizabeth: what to do? actually just realized, we are playing at Port Elizabeth..perhaps slowest SA pitch.. I am thinking of going with two spinners..so I will drop Pathan. this is the place to make comeback.. Link to comment
Rajiv
Re: Port Elizabeth: what to do? With; whatever performance we can expect from sachin, it has to come while opening. You can forget about him coming lower down the order We all know how picky he is when it comes to these types of situations Infact, I would suggest Sehwag to bat down lower as he was never a natural opener anyways and can cope with it Remove Kaif, I'd rather get bored by Umrao Jaan than see Kaif Bat Laxman has to play, a guy who scored 3 centuries in a week cannot be ignored Open with Dhoni, agree to that Link to comment
kabira
Re: Port Elizabeth: what to do? Laxman will not be able to make it on time. with no dravid, sachin has to take responsibility and bat at number 4. Link to comment
The Outsider
Re: Port Elizabeth: what to do? The way we are batting there is no problem of any of our batsmen playing too low down. Everyone gets a chance to bat in the powerplays. Link to comment
