Chandan
Unfortunately I wasn't able to post the reports of Round V due to badly being shaken from the Mumbai Terror attack. But even though most of us read cricinfo, I'm putting the links of the report of this round so that one can have a continuity while going through this thread. ROUND V DAY 1 DAY 2 DAY 3 DAY 4 Delhi, Gujarat, Saurashtra and Baroda registered outright victories. Link to comment

msb1991
Kulkarni - what a legend! Ripping up domestic cricket. Saw him crank up the pace occasionally in the IPL toward 145kph, certainly one to watch. Link to comment
Predator_05
Uthappa just doesn't stop scoring. Another run a ball fifty today against a really good UP bowling attack featuring internationals RP Singh, Praveen and Piyush Chawla. Link to comment

Rahil Shaikh takes 3/30 in the second innings, certainly one to watch for the future. Rumoured to have 'serious pace' (says Kapil Dev) and appeared on Cricket Star. Link to comment
Holysmoke
Its all over folks... Mumbai: Master batsman Sachin Tendulkar, who guided India to a superlative win over England in the Chennai Test with an unbeaten century, is keen to play for Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy quarter-finals. "Sachin is very keen to play in the quarter-finals. He has already enquired whether the tie can be re-arranged a bit," Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) sources told PTI on Tuesday. Tendulkar would get only two days' time between the concluding day of second Test against England at Mohali, on December 23, and opening day of the Ranji match -- December 26. Mumbai are expected to finish on top of Group A in the Elite Division of the national championship and in that scenario would play quarter-final at Ahmedabad, sources said. With India's tour of Pakistan unlikely to materialise the top cricketers would be seen in action in Ranji Trophy, in case their teams make it to the knock out rounds, and the subsequent Duleep Trophy knock-out tournament in January-February, 2009. "It will be good for the players (who will get a break from international cricket) and for domestic cricket (in case the tour is off)," Cricket Board sources indicated. India's scheduled series after the ongoing two-Test rubber against England, if the tour to Pakistan is off, is the visit to New Zealand in March-April for which the squad is set to depart in February-end. India will play a one-off Twenty20 international against New Zealand on March 6 at Wellington before engaging them in a best-of-five ODI series from March 8-20 with ties at Napier, Hamilton, Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. A two-Test series is to follow from March 26-April 7 with matches to be held at Hamilton and Wellington. With Zak and SRT turning up for Mumbai, I cant see another team coming close... Mr. Wicket
Oh please, Sachin playing for Mumbai will be one of the most wonderful things imaginable. The man lives for cricket, and is just as passionate about the fortunes of Bombay as he is about the Indian team. Link to comment
