The Outsider
Re: Rain thruout the week in Trinidad Its only scattered showers bumps and with all games having a reserve day, I expect a result in all of them. Link to comment
Bumper
Re: Rain thruout the week in Trinidad Results will be guaranteed, am more worried about NRR. With constant interruptions, NRR is very difficult to plan. If BD lose badly here, they will find it almost impossible to up the NRR sunday Link to comment
Predator_05
Re: Rain thruout the week in Trinidad Does it make a difference with reserve days if the weather forecasts predict scattered showers for the entire week ? Either way, i think India will go through regardless of what their margin of victory vs SL might be. Link to comment

Bumper
Re: Rain thruout the week in Trinidad No game will be washed out, as the game resumes & not restarts the reserve day. Besides only 70 overs or so (50 + 20) need to be bowled for a result. Nice to know that NRR is no longer a worry. If BD wishes, they can even make our result not a worry :hic: Link to comment
The Outsider
Re: Rain thruout the week in Trinidad Does it make a difference with reserve days if the weather forecasts predict scattered showers for the entire week ? Predator, its only scattered thunderstorms and on reserve days the match will continue and not start again. Difficult to see anything getting rained out. As for NRR, its become entirely irrelevant after India's massacre of Bermuda and more so after today. Link to comment
Holysmoke
Re: Rain thruout the week in Trinidad If Ind-SL is rained out' date=' we are :headz:[/quote'] yep, not only us, whole WC is screwed... Imagine a WC without India and Pak in the super 8 Link to comment
gator
Re: Rain thruout the week in Trinidad if there are reserve days, why are the umpire doing duckworth when it rains on the first day? i remember seein that in one of the matches.... Link to comment
kabira
Re: Rain thruout the week in Trinidad >if there are reserve days, why are the umpire doing duckworth when it rains on the first day? because match can be completed today only as 20+ overs have been bowled..in that case result is possible so no need to go and play on reserve day..If at all 20 overs were not bowled than they take reserve day option... If 20 overs are bowled in the 2nd innings it constitues a match . No need for the reserve day D/L method is used. Reserve day is used only if 20 overs are not bowled for the team batting 2nd. gator
Re: Rain thruout the week in Trinidad tht seems pretty weird..... if they have a whole day as reserve.... why try to shrink it on the previous day.... Link to comment
DesiChap
Re: Rain thruout the week in Trinidad Rules of the game...20 overs bowled in each innings of an IDI constitute a game ! What if 20 overs are bowled on day 1 and day 2 is rained out ! Link to comment
King
Re: Rain thruout the week in Trinidad It's a shame so much rests on the weather. Again why schedule games when you know the weather may play a spoil sport. Luckily the games can be carried over to the reserve day. Link to comment
