I hope VS and GG don't fire too much, and these guys come before Yuvraj and Dhoni. One match can't decide it all, but would be good to see who can fire under pressure. Of course, this can only work out if Kirsten and Dhoni are flexible enough. Link to comment

This is the whole reason why I suggested we take him instead of Rohit Sharma. That way he can bat better than RS, and can be available as additional left arm bowler as well. Link to comment

fineleg Posted February 8, 2009 Share Posted February 8, 2009 For New Zealand ODIs and T20 Replace Rohit Sharma with Robin Uthappa since the latter has some form going for him. Also, for a tour like NZ (not as close as SL is to India geographically), RU will be 2nd wicketkeeper (reserve keeper) should we need something during ODIs (like when Dhoni has any niggle or has to bowl 10 overs per amits' instructions :P) For New Zealand Tests Either Badri or Rahane can replace Rohit Sharma perhaps. Undecided - maybe Rohit Sharma can be in Test squad given he has been doing well in 4-day formats. Link to comment
