Stop bitching about Sachin!

Recommended Posts

Sure the guy has performed mightily over these years but that doesn't make him the only one required to save India each time they take the field. He is one of the players who has accomplished a great deal for India both in ODIs and Tests but people kind of project him as the make or break deal when it comes to results. This has to stop. Consider him just as a normal player and let others also take some responsibility. The match that he failed with his bat was crucial for India but that doesn't mean he was the only reason for the defeat. Please accept the fact that we can not depend on one or two individuals to bring in victories all the time. We need more than one heroes in the team.

Re: Stop bitching about Sachin! Everyone or team needs a punch bag, the fall guy, the scapegoat, and he's been the one, no matter what, for the whole team for over 1.5 decades, why stop now. :wtg: :wtg: to the upcoming smartass comments

We can excuse him for being a loser' date=' yet again, as he is not the only one who failed. But dont overhype him, dont give him any special treatment. Most of all, no captaincy to reward his medicority[/quote'] Well said. Atleast accept that he sucks just like everyone else instead of still wanting to do your daily pooja.

Tendulkar is a victim of unrealistic expectations from his fans. This put lot of pressure on him as a player and tends to be the reason for his failures. The guys who are worshipping him should atleast realise this now. But personally I like to see more of Tendulkar in both versions of the game. Take him in the squad and rotate his slot with others so that he's not considered a permanent fixture.

Re: Stop bitching about Sachin! Sachin is not as good as he used to be but he is still much better than almost anyone in the squad. This WC just had 3 games and he failed in 2 of them and the other one doesn't count but To be fair, he failed the 1st 2 games in the last WC too. I would like to give him a shorter lease in tests as hes been failing in tht regularly. Only 2 from Sachin,Yuvi,Laxman and Ganguly should play. The other slot being open to test new players.

Re: Stop bitching about Sachin! http://worldcup.indiatimes.com/articleshow/1809177.cms When Tendulkar cried Cricket News / Ashish Shukla PrintCommentMail ANTIGUA, March 26: The Indian team is set to return home but most of them have still to recover from the sight of Sachin Tendulkar openly shedding tears after India had lost the match against Sri Lanka last Friday. Tendulkar had tears streaming down his cheeks after Munaf Patel had been caught on the squareleg fence by Chaminda Vaas. It brought to end India's disastrous chase of Sri Lanka's reasonable target and more or less shut them out of the 2007 World Cup. Tendulkar, who had contributed nothing in India's chase earlier in the day, being clean bowled by Dilhara Fernando, first tried to control his emotions but unable to do so, locked himself in the bathroom lest he made a spectacle of self in the public. A couple of junior cricketers in the side were so taken aback by the sight that they themselves started to cry. It's little secret that Tendulkar desperately wanted to do well in this World Cup and be a part of the team which has won a World Cup. The "little master" in his glorious career more or less achieved everything he set out to do but his World Cup dream is unlikely to be realized now. Young fast bowler S Sreesanth's emotions got better of him as he too broke into tears. He was consoled by close friend Robin Utthapa who on his part was so nervous and upset that he kept drinking cups of coffee. Sreesanth just couldn't stop crying and kept saying: "Why God did this to us?" While Tendulkar and Sreesanth gave vent to their emotions, fast bowler Zaheer Khan broke a chair in the dressing room. After making a spectacular comeback to the Indian team Zaheer's colleagues in the team said that he was desperate to make amends from the last World Cup final where he let his adrenalin get better of him. Rahul Dravid, by all accounts, was himself tearful while Sourav Ganguly, behind his glasses, sat stunned on his seat. Coach Greg Chappell had given up on the team a long before. As soon as Mahendra Singh Dhoni was out, going back and finding himself plumb in front to Muthiah Muralitharan, he got up and switched off the television. As far as he was concerned, there was little else to see. His vision and work of last 18 months had come crashing down in a matter of a week.

Re: Stop bitching about Sachin! All touching and stuff but shows that they were even more mentally weak than I had thought!

Sreesanth just couldn't stop crying and kept saying: "Why God did this to us?"
This guy was a Psychology student???? :wall: :wall: Team would be better of facing reality rather than wearing more and more religious necklaces and talking to god every few seconds (Uthappa).
