Mahela Jayawardane is a great captain

60 runs to get, 8 wickets in hand, the guy bowls part timers with spread field :wall: But he does seem to pass the checklist for a great captain: 1) Choke against all big opponents --> CHECK 2) Bash the minnows --> CHECK 3) Clueless bowling changes --> CHECK 4) Better defend than attack --> CHECK 5) Good interviews --> CHECK

Re: Mahela Jayawardane is a great captain Am so glad SL lost. I cant stand the hype around Mahela Jayawardane's captaincy. What a retarded door knob. If only he had brought Malinga & Murali earlier on, instead of letting the Saffies milk the bowling at will

Re: Mahela Jayawardane is a great captain Who defended 209 ? Mahela ? 4 wickets in 4 balls made it look so close. At the 45 over mark, SA were 206/5, needing 5 runs to win. The pressure should have been applied when SA needed 80 runs to win, not in the last 5 overs. IMO, Mahela's blunder cost them this win.

I think he is better than Dravid.

Re: Mahela Jayawardane is a great captain If Dravid had a malinga and a licensed chucker like Murali, he would have looked brilliant.... this guy is on the offence so much, and he doesnt have the bowlers to back it up..... on the other hand, Jayawardane wouldnt last a minute with indian bowlers...
