Re: GREG CHAPPEL RESIGNS It was no fault of Greg Chappel that we did so badly in WC, how can Tendulkar speak out like that when he has nothing behind him, his and others attitude and also on cricinfo it says Tendulkar, Ganguly, Sehwag and Yuvrag asked Dravid to bat first against BD for batting practice. What happened to the batting practice. I say well done to Greg Chappel for resigning, who would want to coach a bunch of stuborn idiots.

Gambit because the story has been going around for some time....you can use some other word .... as for chappell uncle....i have never been anti or for....pretty much neutral.....just admire his guts to touch our demi gods.....
If Chappell would have blamed RD, would you have appreciated his guts? What matters is the truth. If this mafia story is true and the senior mafia was undermining the juniors, I will applaud Chappell for standing up on behalf of the baccha party. But at the moment, I'd rather believe outstanding players I've seen for 10+ years than someone who's been with us for 1.5 years.

Re: GREG CHAPPEL RESIGNS

I dont understand how Tendulkar can speak out like he did yesterday when he hasnt scored any runs anyway.
so u saying that some1 can only speak out when he has runs under his belt
yes Tendulkar said that it was sad that coach underestimated our attitude, his attitude must be poor after failing.

Re: GREG CHAPPEL RESIGNS Look at this Chappell and India part ways Greg Chappell resigns Cricinfo staff April 4, 2007 Greg Chappell, India's coach, will not be seeking an extension of his contract, which expired at the end of the World Cup. Chappell informed the board president of his decision on Wednesday, citing "family and personal reasons." In a release to the media Chappell, said, "I am grateful to the players with whom I have worked in this time for the challenges that they presented me with and which I tried to meet in a professional, methodical and interesting way in the interests of the team and the individual." He went on to thank the support staff who worked with him for their efforts. "I would like to make special mention of my support staff without whom I would not have survived the rigours of the past 22 months," he said. "Ian Frazer and Greg King deserve special mention for their efforts as do John Gloster, S Ramakrishnan and Ramesh Mane. I am particularly grateful for the wonderful support of my family, especially my wife Judy, who has enjoyed the experience as much as I." Chappell also had a word for the people of India who followed cricket so passionately. "The people of India deserve a special mention as they are the ones whose attention, enthusiasm and love and support drive the great game, and business, of cricket in this country, and around the world," he said. "I thank them all, especially those who have written to me and the thousands who have gone out of their way to come up to me with well wishes." "I am also grateful for the opportunity to extend my knowledge and awareness of this region and for the wonderful friends that I have made here," Chappell wrote in his release. "I look forward to continuing my contact with India in the coming years and I wish Indian cricket and all those involved with it much joy and success in the future." Chappell also thanked the media for the support he had received from them in the course of his tenure. "To the media, my thanks also for constantly forcing me to question myself, my thinking and the way I went about my job of guiding the team through the many tests that we faced." More to follow ? Re: GREG CHAPPEL RESIGNS

It was no fault of Greg Chappel that we did so badly in WC
except for the fact that he shunned the players in the middle of the world cup
, how can Tendulkar speak out like that when he has nothing behind him,
ok , he hasnt performed, that dosent mean he shuts up and accepts all... he generally keeps shut.. he's obv been driven to the edge.. to come out with something like this...
his and others attitude and also on cricinfo it says Tendulkar, Ganguly, Sehwag and Yuvrag asked Dravid to bat first against BD for batting practice.
OK.. we were complacent.. it cost us the game... it wasnt only his decision.. it was a team decision.. and if dravid wasnt happy, it was his call... btw, where did u get that info form, care to link me?
What happened to the batting practice.
nothing
I say well done to Greg Chappel for resigning,
finally we agree on something
who would want to coach a bunch of stuborn idiots.
stubborn? dude, SRT wanted to open.. if he was stubborn, he would be opening.
