fineleg
The Australian cricket captain Ricky Ponting believes New Zealand's "love of a scrap" makes them as big a threat as anyone to his side's hopes of winning an unprecedented third straight World Cup title. New Zealand's confirmed a place in the semi finals following their win over South Africa at the weekend. Today Australia play Sri Lanka, who've inflicted New Zealand's only loss at the tournament so far. The Black Caps then play Australia in their final Super Eights match on Saturday before heading into the top four playoffs. Ponting says New Zealand has had a solid diet of one day cricket over the past year enabling to focus solely on the world cup for sometime. http://www.radionz.co.nz/news/sport/200704170551/australian_skipper_admits_new_zealand_a_major_threat_at_cricket_world_cup Link to comment
