Re: scheduling?

Kiwis play tomorrow and play their semis in two days i.e 23rd April whereas other teams will have ample break and rest.
NZ can still end up at no. 1 position... and two days are enough I think.. but damn no games on Sunday?? something tells me islanders give more importance to Saturdays than Sundays.. even final is on Saturday..

Re: scheduling? Earlier the better for the fans though. It could be pretty frustrating waiting for the Semis to happen. More the wait more the tension. Eventually if the result is not favorable it all the more hurts if there is a long gap.

Theroretically yes, but for all practical purposes no. Their NRR is WAY behind Aus.
No, If NZ beats Aus then NZ will be no. 1 since they have equal number of points... NRR is 2nd factor in tie-breakers..

No Veer, for Super 8s, most wins is the first factor followed by NRR, followed by some wickets/ball bullcr@p, followed by head to head winner.
In the event of teams finishing on equal points at the end of the Super Eight series, the right to play in the Semi-Final will be decided in the following order of priority: - The most wins in all of the matches throughout the competition against the other Super Eight series qualifiers. - If there are teams with equal points and equal wins in the Super Eight series then in such case the team with the higher net run rate in all matches played against the other Super Eight series qualifiers (in both the Group stage and Super Eight series matches) will be placed in the higher position. - If following the net run rate calculation above there are teams which are still equal, then the team with the higher number of wickets taken per balls bowled in all of the matches throughout the competition against the other Super Eight qualifiers in which results were achieved, will be placed in the higher position. - If still equal, the team which was the winner of the head to head match played between them will be placed in the higher position. - In the highly unlikely event that teams cannot be separated by the above this will be done by drawing lots.
