Instead of Mongia, I'll have Manoj Tiwari certainly. The guy is in form and has performed much better than Mongia in the domestic cricket!

Re: how will our performans in BD be ?? I have no expectations at all. I will take results as they come by. I won't be bothered whether they come up triumphs or not. Of course I'll still back them though. I just feel we have gone the West Indies way, not taking any opponent for granted.

Re: how will our performans in BD be ?? Be prepared for yet another humiliating series. IMO, this team is not really going to get its act together. (with or without the pampered superstars like SRT, SG, VS et. al) Hopefully Ind cricket will improve by 2008 timeframe. Until then, tough.

who are are good fielders in this squad ???
No one is outstanding like Raina or Kaif. Yuvraj is one, Karthik is another, Uthappa is also an okay fielder (not brillinant). Tiwari is unknown. And you know the poor fielders, don't you?

Re: how will our performans in BD be ?? Ok Our preparation has already begun: New think-tank?s first meeting on April 30 Shastri, support staff to arrive in Kolkata a day before camp starts; Robin, Venky already start homework on analysis front Nadim Siraj Kolkata, April 23: Come April 30, the Indian cricket team?s think-tank, comprising manager Ravi Shastri and rest of the support staff, will meet for the first time since the side?s World Cup debacle and the subsequent exit of Greg Chappell. Captain Rahul Dravid is also likely to join Shastri & Co for the ?preparatory summit?. The Indian team?s conditioning camp ahead of the long tour Bangladesh gets underway on May 2 in Kolkata. But the BCCI wants Shastri and, if possible, Dravid, to get together with the rest of the high-profile support staff, a day before the players arrive here for the camp that will last five days. ?The players have been asked to reach Kolkata by May 1 evening. But Shastri, and perhaps even Dravid, will be in the city on April 30. They will utilise the extra day before the camp starts by getting acquainted with bowling coach Venkatesh Prasad and fielding coach Robin Singh,? a top source in the BCCI told Newsline this evening. Earlier this month after former coach Chappell put in his papers, shouldering much of the blame for India?s disastrous World Cup campaign, the BCCI top brass held a high-profile summit in Mumbai, announcing Shastri as the temporary replacement for Chappell in the capacity of interim manager-cum-coach. In an unprecedented move, the BCCI also picked Prasad as the team?s specialist bowling coach while Robin was named fielding trainer. The three-man coaching panel apart, the Board decided to retain trainer Gregory Allen King, physio John Gloster, video analyst S Ramakrishnan and masseur Ramesh Mane. Russell Ramakrishnan, the Board-appointed team logistics expert, will arrive here on April 30 alongwith Shastri & Co. Meanwhile, even as Shastri is eagerly waiting to meet the 22 players attending the camp, bowling coach Prasad and fielding consultant Robin have already got down to work. Both the assisting coaches have got in touch with expert analyst Ramky about modifications in the analysis software to suit their needs. ?It?s time off for the players for a few days but it?s the quite the opposite for me. Both Venky and Robin contacted me and we discussed some technical matters over the match analysis and video analysis software, which I cannot divulge in details for obvious reasons,? the Indian team?s analyst told this daily. Both Robin and Prasad are known to be very technology-savvy. West Indies-born Robin was the coach of the India A team for a long while, and Prasad coached the Under-19 Indian team all the way to the colts World Cup final last year. ------------------------------------------------------- Hope we are able to make our bowlers get wickets on the flat tracks of BD!!
