"Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless - like water. Now you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup, you put water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle, you put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend." — Bruce Lee [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USlnfTGlhXc]YouTube - Bruce Lee_Be Water My Friend[/ame]

You can jail a Revolutionary, but you can't jail the Revolution. - Huey Newton We are told to remember the idea, not the man, because a man can fail. He can be caught, he can be killed and forgotten, but 400 years later, an idea can still change the world - Evey Hammond (V for Vendetta)

Both are brilliant.
almost each and every dialogue in V for Vendetta is a quote worth remembering. For example: Voilà! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin van-guarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it's my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V.

I love the movie and I am sorry, I dont mean to divert the topic, but Sir Lawrence Olivier is the only english-speaking actor who could have said that without a mask on... in a single take.

My recent fav inspirational quote: Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.

Hard to translate but the most inspiring piece I have read of is from Bharatiyar "thedi soru nidham thindru - pala chinnanchiru kadhaigal pesi - manam vadi thunbamiga ulandru - pirar vada pala seyalgal seidu - narai koodi kizhaparuvan eidhi - kodum kootrukku iraiyenappin maayum - pala vedikkai manidharai pol - naan veezhven endru ninaithaayo" Roughly translates to Hunt for food, gossip with other small minded men, get hurt and hurt others through various small deeds, grow old slowly and embrace death, like so many foolish minded people, did you dare to think I will follow the same path?

While it's tempting to play it safe, the more we are willing to risk the more alive we are. In the end what we regret most are the chances we never took. - Dr. Frasier Crane Every passing minute is another chance to turn it all around. The sweet is never as sweet without the sour. This is a revolution of the mind. - Vanilla Sky movie Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat. - Theodore Roosevelt

Wow, didn't know you were down with the Black Panthers! Here's mine 'Freedom is.....free of the need to be free' - George Clinton 'Those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it' - Georges Santayana, quite pertinent in the light of the current economic crisis if one is aware of what happened in 1929. 'The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results' - Albert Einstein 'I have nothing to declare except my genius' - Wilde.

First they came for the communists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a communist; Then they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist; Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist; Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew; Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak out for me. - Niemoller
