Re: Chokdulkar? tension mat le... the fact that he is looking for the "heavier" bat is good news. (not that he ever played with as light a bat as VVSL--lekin u know SRT, his mind is his biggest strength and weakness--a few ounces makes a huge diff in his mind). and screw all those who say he chokes--"forgive them for they know not what they do." i cant be asred to repeat shyte abt disproving what is essentially misinformed opinion. i think this year will see a resurgence... despite that ankle scare, woh sabko tod raha tha in the nets. take it easy, R

Re: Chokdulkar? I hope he does better than what he has done over the last couple of years or three not with standing the excellent numbers he has in the finals. I think Tendulkar has had to take a lot of ire is simply because he has not be able to maintain good form over the last couple of years. At times he seems to be targeted for any shortcomings in the team but he hasn't done enough either over the last couple of years or three. I believe the numbers take a back seat when a player fails more often than he succeeds for whatever reason, injuries, bad form or whatever. Unfortunately for Tendulkar, he is born in Indian and plays for India. With so much money involved in India, cricketers from around the world will always have an eye on the highest paid cricketer and any short comings will only provide them ammunition. I personally have lowered expectations knowing fully well every player has a sale by date whether you like it or not. I personally like to see Tendulkar scoring tonnes of runs like the old days but I don't reckon that is going to happen. Even Lara's form over the last few years was up and down like a yo yo. Unfortunately for Tendulkar the big ones aren't coming for some reason. I suspect we should lower our expectations by quite a bit and understand his game play has changed heaps.

Re: Chokdulkar? The reason 'Tendulkar=choker' tag has been used lately (as in the last 5-6 years) is because if you look closely, Tendulkar's record in ODI finals (clutch matches) are propelled by one golden period he's had between 96 and 98 when Tendulkar was first, daylight second in ODIs. Including 96,97 & 98, Tendulkar in finals : 1137 runs @ 75.80, 5 centuries, 5 fifties ( all centuries came in 98) Excluding this golden period, Tendulkar in finals : 817 runs @ 30.25, 0 centuries, 6 fifties.
