Re: just in now manoj tiwari injured!!!!!!! I was expecting to see manoj Tiwary in action. I have heard that he has got the nick "Chota Dada", anyway best of luck to him. Hopefully he will recover soon to play a part in the ODI series. News link from Cricinfo,

Tiwary, though, may have hurt himself at the training session at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium today. Towards the fag end of the session that went on for a bit more than two hours, Tiwary landed awkwardly on his right shoulder, while diving to save a boundary during one of the out-fielding drills. That it was serious showed in the way he didn't get up to stop the ball that was trickling down towards the boundary. Tiwary didn't take any chance and lay put until John Gloster, the team physiotherapist, arrived and took charge. He was immediately taken to the dressing room even as the practice went on for 15 more minutes. "He just had a fall in the fielding; he is being monitored by Gloster, and there's no real news at the moment," Dravid said. The extent of the injury will only be known by tomorrow.

Re: just in now manoj tiwari injured!!!!!!! Tiwary ruled out of 1st ODI vs B'desh CNN-IBN | Posted May 08, 2007 at 19:54 | Updated May 08, 2007 at 22:22 New Delhi: Bengal's Manoj Tiwary, who was selected for his maiden one-day series against Bangladesh will miss the first ODI after suffering a shoulder injury. Tiwary injured his shoulder during the team's practice session on Tuesday while diving full length during a fielding drill. "Tiwary was sent for MRI scan and X-rays. These results were reviewed by an orthopaedic specialist and he has been advised rest in sling for 3-5 days and refrain from activity," BCCI said on the injury report sent by physio John Gloster from Dhaka. This means that the 24-year-old will miss the first ODI at Mirpur and his participation in the second match on Saturday has also been rendered doubtful. "The overall condition of the shoulder once symptoms have subsided in 5-7days will be reviewed and reassessed. After this an overall plan and time frame can be fully ascertained," BCCI secretary Niranjan Shah said in the release. "Regarding replacement if needed, Dilip Vengsarkar Chairman Senior Selection Committee, once he reach Dhaka, he will consult team management and further decision will be taken," it said. Tiwary was attended to immediately by physio John Gloster and was given ice treatement. Skipper Rahul Dravid said the injury wasn't serious. Tiwary is on his first tour with the Indian team. "He got injured while pactising but it is not a serious injury," Dravid had said earlier, but later reports ruled the rookie out of the three-ODI series. Earlier, in the conditioning camp back home Sachin Tendulkar had twisted his ankle while Dravid was hit on his nose by a Rudra Pratap Singh bouncer. The Indians are scheduled to play the first of the three one-dayers on Thursday followed by two other matches on May 12 and 15. The two-match Test series will begin at Chittagong from May 18.
