kabira
and looking for single has been passed to two wicketkeepers.. Their partnership of 107 included 52 singles and 12 doubles...Both are boundary hitters..but today showed virtue of milking one dimesional Bangla bowling.. Link to comment
yoda
Re: The idea of rotating strike Yes, boring but high percentage. Good job by these two, although there were a few streaky shots including some wild sweeps without a clue as to where the ball was (KKD) and a lofted shot when we didn't need one (dhoni). King
Re: The idea of rotating strike Karthik's was an unconventional inning but am sure his sweeping did upset the line and length of the spinners fair bit. I'm more than happy to watch this style of batting in ODIs than say a pefect cover drive one ball and an edge next ball to the slips. Lest Karthik didn't look overwhelmed coming at no.7 chasing another 100 runs. Not for once did he look like he was scared of getting out. You could see Dhoni was a little circumspect but not Karthik. It looked like he was enjoying his stay in the middle. There were times when both Yuvi and Karthik could have been run out but I suppose it was more to do with Dhoni taking a runner. Link to comment
