ZIMBABWE CRICKET RELAUNCH SUGGESTIONS TO ICC Zimbabwe has a rich cricket history and a big fan following. This is a master plan to relaunch cricket in zimbabwe. First of all six cities are carefully selected. Then six hi-fi stadiums are set up in these cities. These stadiums will not be huge but artistic beautiful and set an example around the cricket world in cleanliness and proper cricket watching facilities.Capacity 35,000 for Harare and 25,000 for other cities. These stadiums will have retraceable roofs so that rain does not affect the play. These stadiums will all have a science centre for research , nets for practise and a museum of club history. These stadiums will be the home of 6 clubs should not be new names but old clubs revived.eg.-The Mountaineers,HCC Then we need players and coaches. These clubs will have 15 players each with full time contracts out of these 15 players there will be a quota of six players for cricketers of Namibia,Uganda and Kenya.Players from non-african countries wont be contracted except in T20 Cup. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Then we need competitions. 1.Flower Cup - Named after Flower brothers this will be premier First Class League of the country.Six teams will compete in a home & away fixture in a total of 10 matches per team and total of 30 matches. We will try to make it the most popular FC competition in the world. Duration - 4 months 24260081.jpg 2.ZPL - The Zimbabwe Premier League will be a Pro35 (35 overs league).Six teams will compete in a home & away fixture in a total of 10 matches per team and total of 30 matches. We will try to make it the most popular one day competition in the world. Duration - 3 months sp2.jpg 3.Tracois T20 Cup - Named after John Tracois the legend. It will be T20 competion and will include top players around the world.Six teams will compete in a home & away fixture in a total of 10 matches per team and total of 30 matches. We will try to make it the most popular T20 competition in the world. Duration - 1.5 months 8133.jpg The winner will compete in the Champions League T20. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Then there will be youth teams of all the 6 clubs who will compete in similiar leagues. After these plan is executed Zimbabwe will be given Test status but will only play 2 Tests per year those 2 against Bangladesh only. And they will play 30 ODIs every year with Ten 3 ODI serieses against Test playing nations to test their improvement. Newbery and Salix will be the exclusive bat and kit makers of Zimbabwe as thes will give a different feel to viewers when Zim is playing.(not necessary) PURE CRICKET will be encouraged in Zimbabwe with FC getting the biggest attention. The entire domestic season will be telecast around the world with awesome graphics and coverage. There will be big marketing campaigns for all the Cups and merchandising. The money required will be provided by ICC , BCCI & IPL and the franchise owners & sponsors. Please readers dont make money an issue. We need around $600 million to begin with. The Final target is to win WORLD CUP 2015 and No.1 in ICC rankings and host the 2019 WORLD CUP. If you like this plan please help me to contact ICC. This post is dedicated to my hero Neil Johnson the greatest all rounder ever born. 72140.jpg

^^ It's not BCCI responsibility to fund cricket in Zimbok thats for ICC, it's hard enough for the tight fisted BCCI to invest in cricketing projects in India. Your above plans are pretty outrageous, nobody is going to put in the amount required to fund stadiumsl, no matter how deep their pockets may be. Most importantly, it doesn't make economic sense when clearly the market isn't big, liquid, nor stable.

Don't be silly, it ain't BCCI responsibility, their responsibility starts and ends with cricketing issues in India. Also mate, you got to stop saying "don't make money an issue", because it will be the fundamental in any investment. Nobody is going to invest without getting anything in return financially, and if you think otherwise than you are extremely naive.
