wimbledonbanner2.jpg :eyedance: Time for revenge of the Roland Garros French Open :eyedance: Prize Money PRIZE MONEY FOR THE 2010 CHAMPIONSHIPS The All England Club, Wimbledon, today announced that the Men’s and Ladies’ Singles Champions at this year’s Championships (21 June - 4 July) will each receive £1,000,000, an increase of £150,000 on 2009. The total prize money for the event will be £13,725,000, an increase of £1.175 million on 2009. Tim Phillips, Chairman of the All England Club and Wimbledon Championships said: "Wimbledon exists in a highly competitive global marketplace and it is the world’s best players who create and drive the interest. It is important that we offer a level of prize money which is both appropriate to the prestige of the event and which gives the players full and fair reward." Wimbledon continues to contribute towards the pre- and post-Championships grass court tournaments that form an integral part of the grass court circuit. :woot: Events The following events will be contested at The Championships * Gentlemen's Singles (128 player draw) * Ladies' Singles (128 draw) * Gentlemen's Doubles (64 draw) * Ladies' Doubles (64 draw) * Mixed Doubles (48 draw) * Boys' Singles (64 draw) * Boys' Doubles (32 draw) * Girls' Singles (64 draw) * Girls' Doubles (32 draw) * Gentlemen's Invitation Doubles (8 pairs Round Robin) * Senior Gentlemen's Invitation Doubles (8 pairs Round Robin) * Ladies' Invitation Doubles (8 pairs Round Robin) * Gentlemen's Wheelchair Doubles (4 pairs) * Ladies' Wheelchair Doubles (4 pairs). Berdych is a good call, he's in good form and finally beginning to fulfill his potential. Grass should suit his game. Will not win it, but he'll cause a few upsets I reckon. Id love to see Roddick win, im a huge A Rod fan been one since his early days. Itll be great if he goes all the way, but he wont- in fact im not how good he's going to be after the injury and virus he has had. Hope a good queens run gets him into Wimby fully fit.

Hmmm .... Federer is in big trouble in the first round. Down 2 sets, and 4-4 in the 3rd. Apparently he had made some snide comment about finishing this match early so he could watch soccer; looks like his wish may come true :winky:
