Good pacers- yeah Mithun is one, strapping lad said to get good pace and bounce Vinay Kumar is a decent medium pacer who is in the T20 WC squad and has been very good in Ranjis over the years. Probably a new ball specialist, who really needs conditions in his favour (like Irfan) and im not sure if he is pacy enough. Can bat a bit. Umesh Yadav is a nippy fast medium bowler bowls with a slingy action and gets good pace (relatively anyway) Tyagi has played for India- good wicket taking bowler seems like, but a bit loose too, not Ltd Overs material I dont think but could have a future in test cricket if he gets more consistent

Not sure about Nechim Ahmed tbh, dont know how good he has been in domestic cricket Rayudu needs to score in Ranji cricket before he can be considered, there are a few names ahead of him in the pecking order. Uthappa and Dhawan at the top is a good idea, for the limited overs side anyway, and Vijay at no 3 maybe...

FC cricket in the Plate League: - 2005/6: 2 wickets at 139.00 - 2006/7: 20 wickets at 17.50 - 2009/10: 28 wickets at 21.96 OD cricket: - 2006/7: 4 wickets at 23.00 - 2009/10: 2 wickets at 66.00

Just from watching him in the IPL, I reckon he could be a game changer on a seaming or hard wicket, but really is fodder most of the time on flat decks where he cannot shock with his steep bounce.

But to be fair to him, he was in and out of the side due to warming the bench for team India and hence didn't get a proper opportunity to get into the groove. This is the toughest part for the reserves, I suppose. Most of the bowlers apart from Zaheer seem useless. Can you suggest a set of 7-8 seamers for a pool of 25 players for ODI? As for seamers in the longer format, scene looks really bleak!!

I think Sudeep Tyagi is lacking in temperament a bit right now becasue he has not played much junior cricket so he does not have that experience in how to handle pressure situations.....he is not a bad bowler at all and bowls at a lively pace and he has already bowled some brilliant bowling spells in FC cricket, the most memorable was against Aussie A team which had the likes of Katich, Voges, Rhonchi, Marcus North where he cleaned up Aussie batsman with pace and reverse swing and he also bowled well in patches in this IPL too, in the last game too, he bowled well.....he opened the bowling and his pace was up there too in high 130s to upper 140s....with some more 1-2 years of experience in FC and he will gain confidence. but Indian selectors need to handle these young guys, who have potential, very carefully...same is with Abu Nechim, Umesh Yadav, and Varun Aaron.....i have big hopes from these 4 guys Tyagi, Abu, Yadav, and Aaron all 4 capable of bowling over 140s. Board must arrange some A tours to give these guys the experience needed to reach to the highest level of their game...where right now they are not.....if at this time they will be blooded in the International arena.....they will be ruined too like some others.....

Pujara to lead India A in England Cheteshwar Pujara, the Saurashtra batsman, will lead India's 16-member A squad for the tour of England. The team will play a one-day tri-series also involving England Lions and West Indies A. The team features some of the Indian domestic players who impressed in the recently concluded IPL, including Manish Pandey, Saurabh Tiwary, Shikhar Dhawan and Jaydev Unadkat. Wriddhiman Saha, the wicketkeeper who made his Test debut against South Africa recently, will be Pujara's deputy. Karnataka fast bowler Abhimanyu Mithun, the leading wicket-taker in the Ranji season, was also included. However, there was no place for the opener Robin Uthappa, who failed to make the squad for the tri-series in Zimbabwe as well. Uthappa scored 374 runs in 16 games at a strike-rate of 171.55 for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL, and also hit the most sixes, 27, in the tournament. The tour begins on June 5 with a three-day game against Yorkshire. India play two one-day games against West Indies A, before heading to Glasgow for two one-dayers against Scotland. They return to England for the remainder of the tri-series, with the final scheduled for July 8. Squad: Cheteshwar Pujara (capt), Wriddhiman Saha (vice-capt/wk), Abhinav Mukund, Shikhar Dhawan, Ajinkya Rahane, Manish Pandey, Saurabh Tiwary, Iqbal Abdulla, Sudeep Tyagi, Dhaval Kulkarni, Abhimanyu Mithun, Kedar Jadhav, Manoj Tiwary, Jaskaran Singh, Bipul Sharma, Jayadev Unadkat http://www.cricinfo.com/india/content/story/459058.html WTF are the selectors playing at with this exclusion of Uthappa from both sides?

Great news for Pujara. For the record, has Robin fegged Kris Srikkanth's daughter or something, coz it seems beyond me as to why Robin doesn't get picked, even for the 'A' Team ! The selection panel is having an intellectual breakdown and the fact that everyone seems to be arguing Robbie's case, gives him a moral highground and the selectors a slap on the face. Shame on you, Selectors. Jimmy saab was right in calling y'all a "BUNCH OF JOKERS".

Think Piyush is touring Zim for T20s but he probably should have gone, he would have got more from touring with the A guys than playing that T20 tourno in Zim..maybe in for Bipul as there is a SLA in Abdulla there already. And yes Robin should have been in there, perhaps for Kedar J That aside this is a good squad. Id say Rayudu needs a really good FC season before he tours with an A side again, Mukund has been consistent for TN for a few seasons now

Where are Irfan Pathan, Ishant Sharma and Sreesanth? 8 seniors not there in India team, so that mean these 3 and Robin uthappa aren't good enough to be in top 38 players of the country? Ridiculous to say the least. Robin and Irafn should have found a place. We play mostly one dayers on the tour and they have picked guy suited for the longer format!
