Ive got commutes to work now and being a heathen in need to educate myself I feel its a good oppo to listen to some educational stuffz. Do you guys know any podcasts on science/business/politics that are interesting/enlightening to listen to? Ideally free of charge :P but Id pay a small subs fee if necessary. Thus far Ive discovered the BBC news site, which is pretty awesome. And the Guardian podcasts seem good. Any other suggestions are welcome Much love, The Sood.

the skeptics guide to the universe; astronomy cast; point of inquiry; this american life; friday night comedy by bbc4; in our time with melvyn bragg on bb4 these the are the ones i listen to apart from msnbc's rachel maddow show, reliable sources and fahrid zakaria's gps on cnn (though the later 4 are america centric).

Just started The History of Rome by Mike Duncan - its a series of 179 podcasts so its going to take a loooong time  Also started StarTalk Radio with Neil deGrasse Tyson - very interesting and easy to understand. Can anyone recommend some good podcasts on history?

Serial is awesome. Totally loving this crime, drama, investigation thing. If you're following Serial, then Slate's Spoiler podcast is worth a listen The Bugle - Satire No such thing as a fish - Done by the elves of QI. About interesting facts. Can be funny. The Atheist Experience - A call in show tackling irrational thinking mainly. The Philosopher's Arms - A bunch of people (including philosophers) discuss many situations Radio Cricket - @altcricket & @pavilionopinions podcast

MP Red: LFC NY Podcast - We do not produce new episodes anymore but you would enjoy crazy stories of Scouse Paul following Liverpool FC around Europe. God Bless his Soul! Dan Carlin's Hardcore History - History Buff would love this Podcast. The Anfield Wrap - Very funny Liverpool FC Podcast The Thomas Jefferson Hour - People interested in early American History will enjoy this Podcast.
