King
Poor start wasn't it? Played the shot on the move. He could still be Atapattu of NZ :winky: Still not all is lost, he will come good eventually. NZ cricket will need to back him though. Martin Crowe would be saying, I told you so... Link to comment
SachDan
Forget Atapattu. Even the best of them all, Sach failed to open his account in the first couple of matches! Link to comment
Sachinism
How does he get away with that bowling action. Serious chucker Link to comment
fineleg
Lets wait for his batting - supposed to be a super exciting batting prospect. We'll see how he does. Link to comment
ludhianvi
Williamson on debut looks promising - good compact player. Plays the spinners quite well with soft hands and can play off the backfoot as well. I quite like the look of him. Link to comment
fineleg
Kane W. looks impressive First Test Indian conditions But he is displaying excellent skill and temperament. Very exciting prospect for NZ  Link to comment

ZodiaC
Promising player for NZ, could be one of their better batsman among the current bunch. Has the potential for sure, Link to comment
Sid
was very impreesed with him when he scored that 100 against bangladesh, handled the spinners well there as well, good prospect for kiwis Link to comment
diegovegaz
set for 100 on debut against india sounds very familiar Link to comment
Jersey #10
Looks to be in a good touch. Link to comment
Pak_Forever
Never heard about this fellow. From the comments in this thread he looks like a great prospect for NZ. 226 balls and 87 runs, man he got some temperament. Gotta catch his highlights. Wishing him all the best and I hope he turns into a world class player for NZ. NZ desperately needs such players. Link to comment
saneindian
10 debutant ceturions vs India so far (I expected the number to be in 20s 0r 30s) Only 15 debutants have scored 87 or more vs India so far. http://stats.cricinfo.com/ci/engine/stats/index.html?class=1;debut_or_last=1;filter=advanced;opposition=6;orderby=start;runsmin1=87;runsval1=runs;template=results;type=batting;view=innings P.S: 12 Indians have scored a 100 on debut. So we aren't "as generous" in letting the opposition debutants score 100s vs us, our guys have been equally good. Link to comment
fineleg
Apart from being reasonably generous to debutants, Indian team also usually helps out of form players find form :P Link to comment
The Dark Horse
very impressive:two_thumbs_up: Link to comment
ludhianvi
Again looking quite good here for a big score. Even if he doesnt score a big one here, he seems to have a bright future ahead. Very good balance and quick runner between the wickets as well to add on the previous stuff. A tidbit about him that he started playing table tennis so as to improve on his hand-eye coordination. Which other players payed Table tennis? I think Viv Richards and Tendulkar. Link to comment
ZodiaC
Great talent, gonna score a lot of runs for NZ. Especially his backfoot shots are real good. His legside play is not convincing, especially of spinners. But hey, he's got an eternity to correct the flaws. Well played Kane! Link to comment
