Guest dada_rocks
I don't know about u but over the years I have always felt a journalist does true justice to his profession in tour diaries. More often than not these are free from blinkered views and prejudices that comes to the fore when they sit in A/c rooms in metros and weave cobwebs of words talking about perceived anarchy in Iraq or terror in afghanistan or religious activism in gujrat based on the brief of foot soldier planted in those places. Enough of what I think about this genre of writing enjoy Tarun Vijay's China particularly muslim dominated xianjiang province's tour diary. http://outlookindia.com/diary.asp?fodname=20070507&authorname=Tarun+Vijay&subsubsecname=Kashgar
