What is Dhoni's contribution to the team?

doesn't score runs. poor wicketkeeping. poor technique i sometimes wonder if he is even test class. we need a specialist in the keeper position and someone who can contribute with the bat. everytime he comes out to bat we must mentally get prepared for the tail. and please don't say captaincy because i didn't see any moves from him to positively influence any match and if it were it can just be attributed to sheer luck. Lets face it the guy has been lucky most of his career and its just a coincidence that he is playing in a team of matchwinners right now and gets all credit for it.

You are at it again :yawn2:
LOL. Dhoni is one of the greatest captains ever. A sharp keeper and Gutsy batter. Whole of india recognizes his importance. I dont want to resort to personal attacks , so I wud stop here.
i dont trust nballa being a pakistani, retarded:nervous: Dhoni, check his cricinfo profile, that's enough evidence of dhoni's performance
provide a brief but detailed description of his contribution with his gloves and bat in india's past few test victories.

averages mean nothing. show me a match winning display in the past few tests. where he rose to the occasion' date= pulled his team out of trouble, something like that.
:giggle: stop clutching to straws and accept that you had no clue that he was averaging 56 in the last 2 years during our ascent to number 1. :finger:

So, you can say he is not getting tested much.

He's the best wicketkeeping batsman around, so I don't see what's your problem? Though I don't agree with many of his tactics, and rate don't him higly as a captain he's doing his part well and we're winning games. His keeping may not be the best, but again he's a pretty decent keeper if you ignore the current ****ups. Overall can't demand much from a #7 wicket keeping batsman who's the captain of the team as well! I'd take gladly take it even if he's an FTB, period.

I dont get the logic behind some of the posts 'overall india is doing well under him so he is doing a good job' 'he is doing his part' really? you guys just dont get it. we dont need guys that can fill places. he can easily make room for a matchwinner. its almost like he is just sitting there doing nothing while the team wins matches. again captaincy doesn't count. and counting on raina to get a breakthrough is not brilliant captaincy. its pure luck. heck even i set fields for the players. it really is not a big deal.

are you really dumb or are you arguing for the sake of it? who is this wicket keeping match winner that is going to emerge out of nowhere? and why is a 56 average in last 2 years equivalent to doing nothing, genius? and to top it all you are talking about logic in others' posts. :hehe:
