Chelsea still have Arsenal away to contend with. Sir Alex said we could only afford to lose 2 games and win the title. Well this was one of those two games, and we won it!... IF Chelsea win all their games, Utd will only lose the title by dropping 7 points or more. There are only 9 games left for Utd to play. It took Utd half a season (19 games) to drop 7 points from the start of the campaign, and so far, they have dropped 15 points all season (29 games). At the exact same rate, they will drop 4-5 points in the next 9 games, and if that is the case, then they will win the league, even if Chelsea win all of their remaining 10 games. Our remaining fixtures: Bolton at HOME Blackburn at HOME Portsmouth away Sheff Utd at HOME Chelsea away Middlesborough at HOME Everton away Man City away West Ham at HOME 5 home games. Our home record this season stands at 14 games, 12 wins, a loss to Arsenal, and a draw to Chelsea... The toughest 2 games I can see are Chelsea and Man City... In the '98 season Arsenal overturned a 12 point deficit to win the Premiership title in the first 4 months after the new year. It's possible. Manutd still have to play away to Chelsea, Portsmouth, Manchester City, and Everton - 4 grounds where they have lost at least twice in the last 3 seasons. When Ferguson plays them all TOGETHER; he is simply putting up a "KICK ME" sign on his team and shouldn't expect anything less than a defeat. Giggs is trash as well; he seems to play through entire matches completely un noticed. Heinze has been atrocious since his return, and why Ferguson doesn't replace him with Evra is beyond me. He really is asking for it.
