@ coffee_rules_D5000 is probably discontinued by now ***** Btw, for those looking to get entry level DSLR, the Sony A33 and A55 are not bad for what you get for your money. What makes them different is that they have an Electronic view finder which gives you a 100% coverage, rather than the traditional optical view finder which gives you less coverage. I would prefer the optical view finder but not the small ones on entry level DSLRs. Other good thing about A33 and A55 is that they can shoot at 10 frames per second which helps for shooting action. Translucent mirror technology helps shooting video too, if I understand correctly Sony A55 If you are buying an entry level DSLR from Canon or Nikon (and not looking to invest in a system with pro grade lenses), you are probably getting not many features. It's only when you get in to semi-pro level gear that things start getting interesting. So if the plan is to get an entry level DSLR, it's not bad to look for brands that give you the most bang for your bucks.
