gult
Is it because 1) Perception of the franchises/Indian public that Aussie players are always good? (or/and) 2) Most of the coaches are Aussies? Mitchell marsh surely wouldn't have got any contract if he didn't have backing of his bro and dad (or/and) 3) They are really better than other overseas players? gult
Maybe they are better all rounders? Hmm.. may be. But I still don't understand how could they ignore Greame swann/matt prior/boucher, who are really good all rounders.

yoda
except for RR's affinity for anything Australian, I don't see any other collusion or preference for one country or the other. Most of the top money guys outside of our own Maharathis are from SAF mainly cause their calendar is always open during IPL making it easier for teams to pick them without wasting valuable cap money. Zero_Unit
I might be wrong but I remember reading somewher that during IPL australia is touring Bangladesh. So paying 1 million for some Aussie players could be a waste :S
Desi Cartman
Most of these players are really good and have proven their worth in the domestic circuit. They are well marketed and the biggest advantage is that most of these players have good experience and are not close to getting a call from the national side. Zelig
IPL takes place when the SS is about to finish. So, some of the Ozzies could miss PL.
