Easily could read it safley and nicely on train etc. Love it. Can even get newspapers ot anything on there. If you like reading this is a must! Anytime bored just get a book in a 1 minute. DomainK
But you have to have an e-copy of every book you want to read.

You choose what e books you want on the kindle(can soure and get books on the kindle) then get them in about 1 min. Loads of books free and the ones you want to pay for are half the price of shops. Its so easy to do and cheap
King Tendulkar
Much nicer to read from the kindle-with leather case then a book. Can even get 1st chapter trial for books before purchase. Even mags and newspapers are cheap.

King Tendulkar
Kindle is great. A must have for frequent travellers.... I subscribed to India today on it and every week the magazine is delivered. And its only 99p a month for India Today. Even newspapers are great on there. Can read on train to work etc and no ones gonna rob you. I Pad is a waste of space, Kindle if you like reading is a must, even for non travellers. No going to librrary or book shop , just sit at home, want a book, have it in 1 minute.
ganeshran
^^ Also IPad and other tablets have a backlit screen which makes your eyes go tired if you see it for a long time. Kindle's display looks just like a book.
King Tendulkar
^ Kindle is reaaly good, screen is just like a book and not bad on eyes at all. With the leather case its just like holiding a normal size book but with all the other benefits. If you love reading its a total must. Sadly for me the paper book is finished. The kindle is the way to read books.
Desi Cartman
You can get kindle reader on tablets , computer or smartphones. Personally I would rather carry either a laptop n a smartphone or iPad and a phone.
King Tendulkar
You can get kindle reader on tablets ' date=' computer or smartphones. Personally I would rather carry either a laptop n a smartphone or iPad and a phone.[/quote'] The feel of the kindle and look is miles better. Cant get that look and feel like kindle. Phone is a phone, not big enough or user friendly enough for people who reallly love reading. You relly gonna get a laptop out and read books on it while on train, plane or hols or even at home??? I Pad is a waste of space, fashion accessory and no more, Its just a massive I Phone that dont make calls and says rob me when in public. Kindle is not for magazine or porn readers like desi. Its for people who love reading books and if you do , nothing will beat the kindle for weight, user friendly and screen. If you want a fashion accessory get an I pad or a some fancy phone. If you want something for great for reading books on and getting books easily/cheapily, then Kindle is the must. Again please note Kindle is for serious readers of books and not web surfers! Its not a fashion accessory but something which is just really good to use. Buy one and you wont miss books.

King Tendulkar
I have ipad 2 and i like it. Initially thought about buying kindle some time back a I pad is massive. How can you read a book from it. Are you really gonna use it on train or on beach. With I Pad you might as well have a big sign on your head saying ROB ME! You cant hold an I Pad for 4 hours reading it as a book, thats were kimble comes in to play. if you want a fashion accessory get an I pad. If you want something for serious book reading i.e will read for 3/4 hour stetches then Kimble is way forward
King Tendulkar
how much does it cost? Only £111. Although leather case is must imo and that was £30. But books are cheaper and get can get them in 1 minute. I sound like a salesman for the thing:hysterical: Just love it. Again for serious book readers, not for 10 minute readers or people who want a fashion accessory
ganeshran
I also thought that the Kindle would not be similar to a real book, but it feels exactly the same. 15 minutes into reading, I completely forget whether it is a real book or a kindle. It has exactly the same dull display that paper feels like. Plus it can be read even in bright sunlight, something which backlit screens cant do. ganeshran
how much does it cost? $139 from US. cheapest way to buy is to ask a friend to get from there.
Sachin=GOD
I've heard that apart from the price of the Kindle there's an additional customs duty of around $70 in India :hmmm:
