achilles
They'll be falling so fast that Sir John will become their fan in a few years time. :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: Link to comment
Ultimate_Game
Sri Lanka - A team with one batsman (Sangakkara) and a bunch of FTBs and trundlers. Link to comment
Cricket Tragic
Even Sanga needs to perform in Eng and SA. His record is poor. Link to comment
Karan114
^ India and WI too. I rate Kumar highly (unlike the other Lankan batsmen) as he has played some masterful innings in New Zealand (against Bond) and Australia, but a few too many holes in his career right now. Link to comment
Ultimate_Game
Even Sanga needs to perform in Eng and SA. His record is poor. That's true. For the time being I am giving him benefit of doubt based on his 192 against Aus in Aus but if he doesn't show up at all this series, he runs the risk of being branded FTB like all the other SL batsmen. Square Drive
We can't afford so many weak test sides. NZ/WI/Pak are already poor. Sad but true.. add SL to that list.. :(( They'll be falling so fast that Sir John will become their fan in a few years time. :hysterical::hysterical: He should be already! But still we can throw some heavy punches in limited over cricket that the receiving team won't be able to know where it came from.. :two_thumbs_up: Link to comment

Karan114
He scored a ton in India. Not too bothered about his 30 odd average in WI. If he plays against WI now' date= he'll score loads. WI is crap and doesn't mean much. Sanga has the ability for sure. He isn't like Hussey/Samaraweera etc who I can assure you are home town heroes. However, he still needs to get the runs. If he doesn't, then he is no different to the other FTBs. Agree to an extent about WI, but not about India. Average of 36 in India isn't great whether or not he made a hundred. Link to comment

Plenty of time to set that right. :two_thumbs_up: Link to comment

FairCricket
because of sanga, mahela, samaraweera , young player cant find a place in the team even they perferm much better in domestic games than them because of the name of these players . there are plenty of sri lankan talent to come , but we just need to get them quickly to team . giving a chance to youngsters are imposible because these players never want to give there position to others . in this tour there are 2 yong batmans , chandimal and thirimanna , but i'm not sure they will get a chance to play because of sanga and mahela . we must break this fake policy and give them a chance in next match at least . FairCricket
but , dont worry , sri lanka is not media masters like india and england , so there are not lot of world news coverage on our young players . you will see much better sri lankan team in next 3 years :winky: Link to comment

His away record is far more inferior than his home record. David Hussey in nobody in test cricket. Why would anybody bring his name? Link to comment

Even Azharuddin and Gundappa Vishwanath had averages of 36 each abroad. Link to comment
broken_wings
This is all because of IPL. SL top players were busy playing in IPL just after WC whereas English players were having some rest and preparing for SL test series. SL players who were playing in IPL just arrived in England few days ago before the 1st test. SL players are surely physically and mentally tired. Link to comment

Samaraweera-->1700 runs @ 43. Michael Hussey is a massive home bully. Most people just aren't aware of how BAD his stats away from home are. Link to comment
