Ranjha
Isn't it illegal for Steve davis to be umpiring? In one over, he gives 2 consecutive thick edges as lbws and then calls it a 5 ball over. Disgusting. Link to comment
fineleg
Dhoni: We'd rather use 20% right umpires rather than 80% or 90% UDRS Dhoni Link to comment

EnterTheVoid
Sorry but we are in no position to complain. The UDRS is in place so that howlers such as these can be avoided. Link to comment
Ranjha
UDRS has to be implemented without a doubt... Link to comment

In one over, he gives 2 consecutive thick edges as lbws and then calls it a 5 ball over. Disgusting. The disgusting point is that with UDRS both of them would have been deemed as not-outs. Don't blame Davies, blame BCCI and the Indian players who kept refusing it. UDRS may not be conclusive on tight decisions, but will eliminate those shockers. Link to comment

Ranjha
Maybe in the long term, this is good as India may agree to UDRS. Maybe these decisions are a tactic by ICC thru Steve Davis to get India onboard....lolllll Link to comment

UDRS may not be conclusive on tight decisions, but will eliminate those shockers. wat if the refferals were utilsed by Gauti n Dravid already? thats my grouse with UDRS.It depends so heavily on utilisation by players however not defending Dhoni n co.they should have it as its still miles better than umpires Link to comment

If a decision is changed they are left with the original number of attempts. Players should know what to refer and what not to. Not knowing that fact is not a problem of UDRS, but of players. SL - IND series in 2008 was a good example. SL players ONLY asked for UDRS when they knew that they had nicked it when given LBW or when they knew it was not when given for bat pad. But very less for marginal LBWs. Link to comment
