Pitches which help pace bowlers always produce fascinating contests as they give bowlers the chance to take wickets and test the technique, temperament of batsmen. I will never understand why BCCI always insists on preparing roads for test matches just for teams to bat out 4 days and score 700/5 and the pundits wonder why test match cricket is dying. The test match at Durban between India and South Africa was another cracker simply because the pitch assisted bowlers.

I get the feeling India will bowl out England below 150. England play poorly under pressure and the batsman who could play a Dravid like innings is injured and most probably wont bat. I dont think Pietersen, Bell, Morgan are going to make a lot of runs on this wicket. Its important for India to close out the tail though. They should bowl to them just as they would to top order batsmen. They need to be patient and dont get frustrated if they cant get them out cheaply.

Is this going down the Karachi test 2006 route? Remember that test? Pathan got a hat trick but Pak came back and scored 230 odd. India replied with 250 odd, but then, Pak piled up over 400 in the 2nd innings. Then India crumbled in the 2nd innings.... If Indian bowlers do not step up tomorrow and restrict England to a gettable total, then it might be all over.

NO. Pakistan were not -44/2 in that test.
