AS ANY FAN OF CRICKET WILL SAY , TEST CRICKET IS THE REAL DEAL, the real Gladiator duel between two sides for 5 days, battle of survival , attrition, plotting , planning, a true test of any side, the holy grail as far as cricket is concerned. The worrying factors are most test teams besides England, S Africa, India are on a decline or rebuilding phase, we are not seeing any future Lara's, Marshall's, crowd attendance in most countries has dwindled, maybe day/night games, some tweaking of the rules, strict enforcement of overs per day, more ways of entertaining crowds with participation, lunch time and tea breaks being used more smartly to make people come in and pay for a days play or that could be any day of a test match. Strict control over quality and standard of pitches to have a battle between ball and bat. Players who have represented their team in test be considered elite and somehow are paid more or extra benefits and perks in other forms of cricket monetary wise, giving test cricket a window, where good cricket and fair weather are biggest factors in respective countries.Getting more technology involved like player cams , mikes, fastest ball of the day, most runs scored, Baseball is similar to cricket but the environment and participation of the spectators is great, maybe cricket needs to take a look at that.At a baseball game it is more like an outing, fun day , food , fun, spectators are loud, a lot of things going on , contests, video on giant screens, people feel they have got their worth as spending is concerned also enjoy their day watching the sport .Next two years hopefully will see test cricket moving ahead there might be some changes for the positive and hopefully ICC AND MOST countries PRIORITIZE THIS FORM OF CRICKET.

With India providing the financial muscle and with the advent of IPL incredible opportunity for cricketers , coaches all over the world but do they have their priorities right, why do India play least amount of test matches, this year alone 6 games and two more whereas England, Australia will end up playing 14 to 15 games, with test cricket being the pinnacle as far as the form of their game it is India's responsibility and duty to give it its due but BCCI is hell bent on cutting down on tests, India as any other country should play atleast 12 to 14 tests a year and maybe same amount of tours but more tests in each tour, only 2 tests in SA, NZ is a joke and the joke is on cricket and its fans.
