One can fully sympathize with the players putting their best in, partly to entertain the crowd, and to receive this kind of treatment. Teams from both sides should unite on these issues and simply walk off. I found the behavior of the Australian team very irksome when the Saffies were being racially abused. They should have gone to Smith and said, "Mate, let's walk off the park for 15 minutes to put some sense into these hooligans". Link to comment
