Blue Panther
He played his first match today. Bowled pretty quick with a good bowling action. Wasim akram wanted him in the indian team. Really good find when we are struggling for pace bowlers.:two_thumbs_up: Link to comment
mishra
one over for 10 runs.... But TBF boy didn't ball that bad to be not given another over. Link to comment
rkt.india
Had bustling runup..Decent action...First ball at 141ks...but only one over with only one bad ball....need to see him more to know how much more pace he can generate Link to comment
nsareen
impressive action, can improve on it a bit, but he looks a strongly built guy, and was generating pace without giving the impression he is putting in a lot. Atleast better speed wise than mithun, rp singh, aravind, vinay, unadkat. Link to comment
Pagalpanti
His pace kept reducing with every ball. Only 1 over though, can't judge him, not sure why he didn't get another over. Link to comment
Trundler27
Hopefully this match gives him enough of a name recognition to at least play most of the ranji games for bengal this season. I see this guy sitting next to Wasim ALL the time during kkr games. This tells me that he is trying to get in his good books and learn as much as possible. Good luck to Shami for the future... Definitely one to look out for (only 21 yrs old). Link to comment
Malcolm Merlyn
what was his pace through out the over.......can anyone post. Link to comment
saneindian
IIRC 141, 139, 138, 131, 133 and 134 kpmh. Wasim said Shami was capable of going even quicker and gets lots of natural outswing as well. A good prospect who needs to be encouraged. One of the very few young Indian pacers with not much of a technical flaw in their bowling action or run up. Link to comment
msb1991
It is good that IPL is discovering these bowlers who have a fair bit of pace. Maybe we actually need to wait 3 or 4 more years until IPL finds are playing in the limited overs teams and doing consistently well but the signs are there. Link to comment
Trichromatic
Will he get more chance? Link to comment
saneindian
Will he get more chance? Should be playing ahead of Unadkat and Balaji for sure! Link to comment
MCcricket
Good bustiling run up , decent action, originally from UP I believe, FAST MEDIUMISH ,VERY RAW, A SEASON OR TWO IN DOMESTIC HOPUFULLY HE IMPROVES FROM HERE PLAYS SOME A TOURS, SEEMS FIT AS WELL NOT TOO MUSCULAR, GOOD LUCK TO HIM.IPL IS NOT THE BEST PLACE TO KNOW WHAT A BOWLER CAN DO. MCcricket
Does Any One Have An Idea Why Shami, Suyal Haven't Yet Played A Single Game In The Ipl, Also Feel Sorry For Ahmed, He Bowled His Heart Out For Mi In Clt20 Now I Benched After Getting One Game Also I Doubt Dhoni Will Play Tyagi . wanted_desi
I don't really care if he gets IPL game or not. I want to see him in Indian team before we start touring England/SA/Australia. Link to comment
Manny_Pacquiao
wanna be an indian cricketer in no time at all? in 2 years tops? easy. this is the best 'get famous quick' scheme goin on. become a phaasht bowler. take a few wickets. push the guns over 140 a few times. 2 good seasons, a good 'A' tour here and there... get your name out in the press...and voila...YOU'RE IN!!! its really, really easy to make it as a bowler in india. no lengthy track record needed, u get picked on reputation, and of course...'taLUNT' this achmed guy is starting out, and another good year will get him easy access to the indian cricket team...no praaablem.. THAT IS UNTIL....u get the ball in a test match after the 3 spinners are done... and see no slip, no close in fielders, no protection on the inside...after which u can only that dhongi baba can grow a brain and stop spreading the god dam field every time a batsman crosses 20 and then...after 2 series of averaging 50+, your career is over and u will spend the next 20 years waiting for shawshank manohar and his cronies to announce a benefit that rewards u for ur service Link to comment
