JeffThommo_fan
This guy, Rajat Bhatia, can make biggest trundlers of the world feel proud. Bowls at 110-115 k. Still, I am never been able to understand how can this guy makes into such a prolific team, Delhi when sometimes bowlers like Ashish Nehra, Pawan Suyal are sitting outside. Delhi team has produced bowlers like Ishant Sharma, Ashish Nehra and batsmen like Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli. He is a Maha-Trundler and his batting is useless. Scores hardly 30-40 runs once in a blue moon. No height, no pace and on top of that over weight. Apart from being Gautam Gambhir's friend, he don't have any other eligibility to make it to big teams like Delhi Daredevils and Kolkata Knight Riders. Still, he is certainty in almost every match that his teams play whereas better players sit outside. Link to comment
VRV Singh
He is the poster boy of trundlers but he does alright for himself. Avg. 47.50 with the bat and under 30 with the ball in first class. His bowling is enough to make you weep. Link to comment

Even 15 yr old guys bowls faster than him Link to comment

Is he really competing with those bowlers? From his record he seems like a batsman who can bowl. Is he keeping out some better batsmen in the Delhi squad (especially given that Sehwag, Gambhir and Kohli are usually touring with the Indian team)? Link to comment
urbestfriend
What a stupid thread! He may be a trundler, but he is a smart cookie who knows how to bowl..! Also he has made tons of runs for Delhi and almost always delivers with either bat or ball! In fact he missed national selection by whisker in his prime. Link to comment

Follow Delhi Ranji team for a few matches this season and then update your thread. BTW he already has a 100 for Delhi this season in two matches. Find more about him please. Link to comment

Seriously, if that'd have happened, opposition teams will be partying together. I don't like bits n pieces type players. So far, what I have seen off him 3-4 yrs of IPL and little bit of domestic cricket, i have never seen him playing some kind of meaningful innings, not even a single one. I might be wrong, but you have to remind me about some better performances. He bats lower down the order when quick runs required and he is definitely not a big striker of the ball. And we all have seen his bowling, which is not good either. Thats what I mean. Link to comment

Raghav_12
Without looking at stats, I would have agreed with OP. He is kind of player who falls just short in both batting and bowling. Watching him during IPL, I myself had asked same question. But apparently his numbers back up. He looks like Vijay Bharadwaj who had managed to play few matches for India. Link to comment
Serani
I have played against Rajat Bhatia. Link to comment

I am actually surprised to see his average being 47, looking at his batting technique as well. It says a lil bit about our domestic standard as well. But he got nothing more than that to be in the reckoning for the Indian team. He is over 32 yrs. And I have been closely following domestic matches as well for the last 3-4 yrs. And he only seems like a bits and pieces type of player. I think his best is gone. But then, he can play for Delhi team as long as he wants. I'd have gone for some specialist bowler or a specialist batsman. Link to comment
