Number
Also surely this must mean Rohit will be in the test squad for Australia consideirg he is very unlikely to play in the 3rd test Any update on Pujara's fitness ? Link to comment
Karan114
Any update on Pujara's fitness ? He is fit now, will be playing the Ranji game on the 29th. Link to comment
Hell Raiser
Both kohli and Rohit should play. Laxman can be rested, he had a issue with his back during the match( Don't know how serious it is though), don't want Laxman to get injured before the all important Australian tour. And between Kohli and Rohit, whoever does well get to be in the final 11 in Australia Link to comment
BERGKAMP
i agree with giving vvs a rest so both ro and ko can get some experiance before aus. Link to comment
yoda
It is not fair to rest VVS or RD cause this is the only format they get to play in, unless ofc they are nursing even a minor injury and can use the rest. Link to comment
fineleg
vvs' back (and knees) will thank him for the rest. Link to comment
Stuge
Glad UV is kicked out of 3rd Test ,but Rohit >.. Link to comment

If there is even a slightest chance of him aggravating the problem, should not be risked. Link to comment
ganeshran
Hope Rohit grabs this opportunity. Link to comment
asterix
Both Kohli & Rohit should play. If Rohit plays and Kohli sits out then it'll be a shame. If only one has to be selected then Kohli should play ahead of Rohit.. UV, thanks for everything. You know now where to concentrate and finish off on a high.. Link to comment

BERGKAMP
Your starting eleven for the 3rd test I will go Sehwag Gauti Dravid Tondulkar Kohli Rohit Dhoni Ashwin R.Sharma Aaron Yadav Bit harsh on Ojha but he should be told that he has cemented his place in the side and we are looking to see how Rahul goes. Ultimate_Game
Would have loved to see Pujara get the spot since he lost the spot due to injury and now he's recovered he should get first shot at reclaiming the batting spot. Anyways it's good news as Rohit, Pujara, Rahane and Kohli should get a shot in the Tests ahead of Yuvraj and Raina. Link to comment
Number
Rahane is already there. Link to comment

Has to show form at FC level first. Link to comment
Ultimate_Game
Rahane is already there. I meant in the playing XI, not just the squad. I hope they play Rahane, Kohli and Rohit in the 3rd Test ahead of Tendulkar, VVS and Dravid. We have already won the series and no better way to give Test experience to youngsters. If they want to play Tendulkar for his milestone then maybe Gambhir can be rested for the game. Link to comment

Yup it was unfortunate but I was trying to follow the Aus model where a guy who was injured gets the first shot once recovered. That's why you see guys like Martin Love (100 in his las test innings) and Stuart Law not getting too many games. Link to comment
