1983-2011
let me get this clear that this thread is not to say who is the best batsman. both innings were awesome but which one was better. Tendulkar 200* or Sehwag 219 for me it has to be Tendulkar 200* because 200 runs seemed near to impossible but Tendulkar broke that barrier and made it happen for other players to follow:hatsoff: Link to comment
Stuge
Both .. incomparable why ? bcoz 200 is not easy to achieve. Link to comment
ganeshran
Both are great innings. Link to comment

amiret
Both were on Crappy pitches . I would say Sachin's innings was better because it was against a tougher opposition. Link to comment

zen
A tough one as a 200 in an ODI is some achievement but still IF I had to pick one, it would be the 219 .... I always thought Sehwag was the best bet to get to 200 and good to see him finally get that What stuck me about Veeru's inning was that it was played at an amazing SR. Ten towards the end of that inng was struggling to get the ball away because of fatigue. That hammer-head knock by Dhoni allowed Ten to take singles and get to the mark .... Sehwag did not need 'such' help As I said, both of them were great innings but if I had to pick one, it would be the 219 Link to comment
Magneto
Look at the bowling attacks. Also, Sehwag gave a chance in the innings and Sachin didn't. But Sehwag's overall kolaveri (murderous rage) was a little more than Sachin. Now someone should really write a kolaveri song for Sehwag. Link to comment
Laaloo
Sachin had the rascala Dhoni at the other end Sehwag had the living legend Sir Jadeja at the other end :adore: Link to comment
gaurav92
Both were equally good but if I were to pick one, it has to be Sachin's simply because it was against a better superior bowling attack and it was something which has never happened before. Link to comment
daryl1985
Why compare them. Both knocks were incredible. I don't understand why there always has to be a comparison with Sachin when another batsman achieves something significant. Sachin is probably the greatest Indian batsman ever while Sehwag is the best in Asia. Appreciate both of them for what they are. Link to comment
