G_B_
Vinay replaces injured Aaron for Australia Tests Vinay Kumar, the Karnataka fast bowler, has been picked as a replacement for the injured Varun Aaron in India's Test squad to Australia. Aaron's injury was detected on Thursday evening, making him India's second first-choice fast bowler to pull out of the squad due to injury. Praveen Kumar had been ruled of the Australia tour late last month after suffering a rib injury. Vinay, 27, has been on the fringes of the India's limited-overs sides for the past year and a half, but has never had a chance in Tests so far. Though he wasn't a part of the squad for the World Cup, Vinay was the most experienced of the quick bowlers in the side for the current home series against West Indies, until Irfan Pathan was included for the final two one-dayers. http://www.espncricinfo.com/australia-v-india-2011/content/story/544459.html?CMP=chrome does not change our opening line up of Ashwin Zaheer Umesh and Ishant. I just pray we dont get injuries. Link to comment
Needforspeed
At this rate our pace attack in Australia will be Vinay Kumar, Mithun and G.Aravind. Karnataka opeing attach. Link to comment
vamos_rafa
Just wait for Zak to get injured, then our attack would start resembling the attack we had in 1999. Link to comment
panther
i knew his action was too rigid Link to comment
panther
attack is still good though yadav, sharma, zak but back up is a joke Link to comment
f.b.m
Vinay Kumar is definitely a decent option for test matches and the best alternative to PK. Definitely better than Mithun or Crapthan. Link to comment
G_B_
actually looking at previous indian tours in the last decade. Bring back Ajit Agarkar is a special Aus specialist.... but joking aside, maybe just maybe our bowlers may rise to the occasion? Link to comment
