Laaloo
Dallas is certainly not a contender team anymore with the loss of Chandler Lakers not the same I predict OKC vs Miami in the NBA Finals Miami is looking scary good right now
Cricketics
Bulls look pretty good too this year. Miami seems very strong. I think bulls have a good chance, but Miami look the most strongest. Can Dirk Nowitzki inspire the team yet again? It's going to be hard.
cowboysfan
mavericks will find it tough to make the playoffs without a good center let alone a repeat.they are hoping to land Deron williams and Howard next year and make another run. Ram
Too early to make any conclusive judgments. Lakers started off brilliantly last season only to be whooped by Dallas in the conf semis. Early season form is never a reliable indicator of how well a team will do going forward.

Ram
The first half of yesterday's game b/w Miami and NY was so entertaining. But predictably, Miami's superior talent outlasted NY. It is hard to see anyone beating Miami 4 times in a week. Think about it - they had a completely revamped team last year and still ended up with the 3rd best record in the regular season and reached the NBA finals. This year, their starters are more comfortable playing with each other and their bench has gotten better. Shane Battier is a world-class defender/role player. Haslem and Mike Miller are fully fit (which wasnt the case last year) and Norris Cole is an excellent back up point guard. Its gonna be hard to beat these guys. Laaloo
they are not going to win this year' date='they had a chance to beat a relatively weak team in Dallas and just couldn't cope with the pressure.[/quote'] I don't see anyone from the East challenging them. The bulls are heavily dependent on Rose and Celtics are growing old. The knicks just suck. As far as the west, Spurs are looking good at the moment, but they did as well last year and look how far it got them. Lakers arent as good as last year. OKC are still inexperienced. Nuggets are injury prone. The title is there for the taking this year for Miami especially in this shortened season.

You call them weak?
Zelig
Spurs will win the West. They always bounce back well after a horrendous season. OKC vs SA - Spurs win Bulls vs MIA - Heat win Heat win NBA 2012 :(( If at all Howard moves to Chicago for Deng n Noah, Bulls will beat Heat in six and lose to Spurs in finals. Ram
Spurs are a terrific team (After all, Pop is Pop), but the lack of a quote – unquote superstar player could cost them come playoff time. Playoff games are different to the regular season. Its not only about half-court execution, at which the Spurs are terrific at. Most playoff games are competitive affairs and you need a closer (Wade, Kobe etc) to bail your time out at least 2-3 times in a 7 game series and Spurs do not have that. This was one of the reasons why even though they had best record in the NBA even last season, but were blown away by the last seed Grizzlies in the 1st round of the playoffs. Speaking of the Western Conference, I saw the Clips-Spurs game that went into OT last week. For all practical purposes, the execution of the Clips was significantly better than the Spurs in the last few minutes of the 4th qtr, thanks to Chris Paul. Clips should have won that game, but only a school boy error sent the game to OT and they lost.
