Nova
This Aussie pair was not seeded... still gave a good fight I thought. The last set was easier of the three for the Indians.

Chalks
Tomic advances in four. :yay: :yay: Plays Dolgopolov in next round, after the Ukrainian won his second five-setter.. Isner match turned in the seventeenth game of the last set when the umpire overruled an OUT call on Isner's serve when he was facing a break point @ 8-8, and then disallowed Nalbandian from challenging his call. Which was later revealed by Hawkeye to be incorrect - Isner's serve was, indeed, OUT. Isner went on to hold serve, then break Nalbandian for the match in the following game. Cricketics
Paes/Stepnek also won with a comfortable victory over another Aussie team in round 1. Today in mixed doubles, Sania/Bhupathi open their campaign. All Indian doubles specialists are playing mixed doubles in this Aussie Open. Paes is with Vesnina Bhupathi with Sania Bopanna with Lisa Raymond
Cricketics
Interestingly, Roddick and Serenea Williams have paired up and will be playing mixed doubles.
Sooda
^wow that is interesting, theyre good friends from when they were kids but youd think theyd want to focus on singles. A Rod plays Hewitt tomorrow, that should be interesting!

Ouch, Donut Dave would not be pleased with that. I was a big fan of him, most talented player not to have won a slam probably ever, but certainly in the last 10 years
Cricketics
Sooda, I think you mixing J.C ferrero with David Ferrer. He used to be a big thing and lost to Roddick in finals, but eventually never could win a Slam. Btw, Hewitt vs Roddick today. can't wait for this one

Ferrero was world no 1 - and in fact he won a French Open before Nadal came on to the scene, 03 I think. A Rod vs Hewitt will be tight, not sure how fit Hewitt is though, think he is coming off some surgery of some sort. He is like world no 200. Hewitt and Tommy Haas are two players who are playing their last few slams here. I think both of them will retire. It's sad to see them go but I think they know their time is almost up. b555
well tha was in singles, but ont he other hand i never thought that she would pair with him just so that she could make that dream come true atleast in doubles :D

He would have to face the pair of William/Roddick. Unfortunately for the Bryan, in mixed doubles since william and roddick don't play consistently, they weren't seeded and ended up facing Bryan's team. It might turn out that they Roddick/Williams might just easily win that game and knock out a big final contender. Mixed doubles should be interesting this time for us. We have 3 teams of ours Mirza/Bhupathi Bopanna/Raymond Leander/Vesnina
b555
wow, thats some combos we got out there but IMO if the serena roddick pair got their play correct , that is syaing they got the synchro correct , then the serves of roddick and the muscle power of serena will have no limits and obviously should be a easy tournament for them , but lets see cricketics, any more such interesting pairings in past few years you have seen? please do not bring uo paes navratilova into this :D
