Vote for the players you think deserve a place. The choice can be multiple. BTW don't vote because some have played marvelously well over the years or in the last decade or at the start of this decade. Just vote based on the stats below. The 6 batmen's score since the World cup 2003. How many guys do you think deserve the place? I see only Rahul Dravid has scored enough to warrant a place and also can be accorded a failed series or two. Rest of them has just been treading along. Few good knocks but they pretty much lack consistency and haven't really done enough not to be questioned about their place in the team. Now wonder we have people asking for most of these guys to be dropped. Some want to keep Ganguly but drop Tendulkar. Some want to keep Tendulkar but drop Ganguly. Some want to bring in Yuvaj in place of Laxman and some want Dhoni gone. I think everyone one of these batsmen barring perhaps Rahul Dravid and to certain extent Jaffer deserve flak. I say the poll question is flawed. You cant say someone deserves a place based on stats from the last 4 years. We should consider present form and potential for future.
Exactamente, mi amigo. Tendulkar in 2003 was far better than he is now, as was Laxman, and especially Rahul Dravid (who reached his peak then). They have all changed since then. My yardstick of choice is from the home series vs Sri Lanka and onwards.

I am waiting till the end of this series to give my call on Tendulkar , Laxman and maybe Ganguly. If none of them come up with SIGNIFICANT contributions in helping us either win or save a test match , I would definitely review my stand then, especially on Sachin.

I don't get you. I took last world cup as a check point. It doesn't mean you have to look at the score immediately after the WC'03 and vote for the players. You could even use the last 2 years or form from the last year. It is easy to pick only one or two from the poll anyways considering most have been quite bad over the years. Even the likes of Laxman and Yuvi haven't done enough over the last couple of years when the opportunity was provided with. They could have done well and none could have challenged their place.
