Look at Shane Warne -- never captained Australia was able to inspire his whole team full of underdogs to win the 1st one...Gilly captained Deccan full of nothing players into winning 2nd IPL. Even if his batting form is indifferent, captaincy is a huge contributor. He's NOT only captain but COACH as well ..so double the responsibility[/quote'] Looks like you forgot Dada's captaincy in IPL previously and dont give all credit to dada its players like Rahul sharma (who played even better last time) , Murali kartik , Utthappa,Smith etc who done the major job..if anyhting Dada is a liability in field and batting.. We have seen how much of a factor he was with KKR. Got kicked out of his own hometown for being a selfish dude this in a city where effigies are burnt and rail rokos peformed like no ones business at the drop of a hat. Gilly....Warne...really...they pulled their weight as players through out when their respective teams won and Dadaji is not even in the same zipcode when it comes to those two. So enough of this captiancy...coach BS...as of now Puny's won a couple of games despite the pathetic Ganguly and his insipid batting, running between the wickets and fielding. I am very confident at somepoint during this IPL the one handicap 20-20 player will cost his team and try to deflect the blame on others as he did with the KKR. And one more thing there is a reason why he was snubbed in the IPL auction for 2 straight days last year(reports of a being a bad team guy were very much in the news) only to beg his way back once Puny's were out of it last year in essence to be a circus clown and sell some tickets when they had nothing to play for. He will sulk at the very first suggestion from the coaching staff anything remotely that has got to do with him or his game. Have we not seen his run-ins with coaches with Indian team and the KKR.
